AfterElton Briefs: Cheyenne Rocks the NewNowNext Awards, Levi Kreis on Winning the Tony, and More!
Plus Stephen Colbert wants to nix lesbian parenting, SyFy goes in search of pop culture memorabilia, and what gay celebrity couple tweeted their breakup?
Mark Feehily performs with Westlife in Dublin, Ireland
- In a way it's comforting to know that it's not only Americans who will do anything to get their fifteen minutes of fame. Who knew pretending to be a bi guy was a way to get ahead.
- Broadwayworld.com caught up with Levi Kreis immediately after he won the Tony for Million Dollar Quartet. Levi chats about winning the big one for his Broadway debut, about playing Jerry Lee Lewis, and for those of you wondering who the guy was who he embraced after winning, it was his partner Jason.
- I've had my doubts about SyFy Channel for a while. First, they changed the name so dumb people would be able to spell it, then they added wrestling to the lineup. To top it off, their dueling Debbie Gibson/Tiffany "shark/octopus/pirahna/seahorse/kelp" films kinda sucked. But all may be forgiven now that they've announced plans for the new series Hunting For Hollywood, which "focuses on the collecting of pop culture memorabilia — including sci-fi props and costumes." Finally, someone might actually be able to track down the two items I've been asking Santa for since I was a kid: an original electro-comp from ElectraWoman & DynaGirl, and the zuni dolls that terrified Karen Black in Trilogy of Terror.

- Frameline 34, the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival opens tomorrow and runs through Sunday, June 27, and kqed.org has a preview. Interestingly, the one movie they say to avoid is from Beginning to End.

Neil Patrick HarrisCheyenne Jackson in the opening number from the NewNowNext Awards, which premieres on Logo tomorrow night at 10PM EST.
Tom Ballard and Josh Thomas
- Australian comedians Tom Ballard and Josh Thomas announced their breakup via twitter. We're interested to hear from our OZ readers ... how popular was this couple, and how surprising was this breakup? (t/y to prometheus_welsh)

- Finally, Stephen Colbert wants to outlaw lesbian parenting ... because their kids are too well-behaved. Somehow this leads to Stephen ... microwaving his underwear.
