Happy Birthday to Jane Lynch, who turns 50 today.

  • Made in Brazil is reporting that Brazil is close to passing a law banning gay couples from adopting. "This new law aims to legally prohibit adoption by homosexual couples by stating that homosexual couples are not able to constitute a family, and that a child adopted by two homosexual parents is subject to embarrassment and harassment growing up."
  • A poll of gay men and lesbians reveals that tennis is the most gay-friendly sport, with 65% saying it's the most welcoming to gay players and fans. I have to say I agree. There have been a few anti-gay bad apples, but overall tennis is a cut above. Now if only we could get a male player to come out.

  • We mentioned previously that the BBC sitcom My Family was going to out one of its characters, to try and make the show "edgy and relevant." Now comes word that the the big gay reveal will happen because of a drunken confession. Wow! How edgy ... and relevant.
  • Below you can see the July episode of the PBS doc In The Life, which focuses on "Defying Stereotypes." The show features out hip-hop artists Shorty Roc and Kin4Life "who use their words and images to change hearts and minds within the music industry."

  • NewNowNext's John Polly interviews Jujubee about being one of the professors of RuPaul's Drag U (Monday, July 19th at 9pm ET). And below you can see her instruct one of her students ... as only she can.

  • Finally, I'm still reeling over something that happened today. Last night I posted pics of Eddie McClintock's beefcake scene from Warehouse 13 to our Facebook page. I mentioned that I had to post them because I've a crush on Eddie for a while. But I couldn't leave it at that, could I? Nooooo. Snarky bastard that I am, I had to throw in a quip about the show being an updated version of Friday the 13th: The Series, minus Robey. Well, this morning Eddie himself responded:

  • Why, oh why did I have to make that Robey crack? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! But on the bright side, Eddie knows I exist! And after seeing him write my name, I'll never wash my eyes again!
