AfterElton Briefs: Nick Adams Gets a Big-Time Gig, Jason Akermanis Gets The Boot, Betty Gets a Hoodie, and More!

Plus Rafa Vs. Thor, a possible Simon Cowell replacement, and an awesomely hypocritical PSA.

  • Big congrats to one of our favorite guys, Broadway hunk-a-dunk Nick Adams, who's been cast in the North American company of the musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in the role of Adam/Felicia (played by Guy Pearce in the film). He'll star alongside Hair hottie Will Swenson and Australian actor Tony Sheldon. Hopefully he won't have to wear a hoodie for this role (read the hilarious last part of the article).

If he comes with it, I'll take three.

  • Dan Choi has been protesting DADT while wearing his military uniform, but now that word is out that his discharge actually went through last month, some are questioning whether it's a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
  • A couple of buff bods to highlight: After winning a couple of tournaments this summer, Rafael Nadal (who's a professional tennis player) is now vacationing in Ibiza. His ass will arrive on a separate airplane.

Can you blame him for checking out that famous derriere?

  • Below you can see another preview of Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Chris is certainly hot, but when I see pics like this, I don't think "superhero" as much as I think "W.W.E".

  • A former prop assistant on House has filed a lawsuit claiming he was subjected to homophobic taunts on the set, as well as bizarre behavior from his superiors, including knife-throwing.
  • Below you can see a PSA put out by MTV Australia and the Red Cross sending the powerful message that "discrimination sux." Yes, that's right. The Red Cross hates discrimination. The Red Cross. I wonder why they didn't include any gays in the PSA?

  • Finally, puppies are selfish.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
