AfterElton Briefs: GLAAD on the Lambert Ban, A Smokin' Hot DADT Hero, and more!
This is exactly what I saw the night I licked that funny stamp
Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear. Yes, we're serious.
- Harrod's in London kicked off their holiday shopping season with the above installation of ... giant dead witch's legs? Because nothing says "ho,ho,ho" better than a crushed corpse.
- Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings has just introduced a bill with 27 co-sponsors to allow gay service members to testify openly at Congressional hearings about "don't ask, don't tell." Right now any service-member who testifies about their sexuality runs the risk of being discharged.

- Above you can see a panel from the webcomic Shortpacked, which has brought the story of hapless gay retail employee Ethan back to the frontburner. His friends are worried about him, so they decide to stop by Wal-Mart to ... pick something up for him.
- Here's a sweet fan letter in Variety from Martin Sheen to Hal Holbrook about the time they worked together on the groundbreaking 1972 film That Certain Summer.
Ho, Ho, Ho

Sadly, a lot of the comments at TR admonish the unfairly discharged military hero for allowing himself to be photographed like this. So I guess role models ... can't have smokin' hot bodies? The ABC press statement doesn't say much of anything, much like what they issued to us. Amazingly (or perhaps not), GLAAD seems to have fallen for it hook, line, and sinker: "“It would appear that the kiss between Adam Lambert and his keyboardist did not factor into ABC’s decision."
- Speaking of, well we knew this day would come. When Adam met Madge.
And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
