Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear. Yes, we're serious.

  • Above you can see Canadian MP Scott Brison posing for a Christmas card with his husband and their dog. TheGlobeAndMail.com posted the card (which has been dubbed "Brokeback Brisons" by some quarters) on its website, and has had to disable its comments section, citing: "Comments have been closed due to an overwhelming number of hateful and homophobic remarks. We appreciate that readers want to discuss this issue, but we can't allow our site to become a platform for intolerance."
  • The director of BBC World Services has apologized for their "should gays be executed" debacle, but his horrific apology proves he still doesn't get it.
  • Southland executive producer Ann Biderman is pleased as punch that the show is moving to TNT, and sums up the show's former network succinctly: "NBC, they're kind of a mess right now," says Biderman. "Once they made that Jay Leno decision, which has been kind of catastrophic for them, it wiped out series drama at that network. To be out of there is probably a good thing."

  • Above you can see a sneak peek from the new episode of Then We Got Help!. The web series centers on four couples and their comedic struggles, including a gay couple played by Blake Hammond and AE favorite Nick Rodriguez.
  • We can add Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner to the list of people who believe that coming out will be commercially devastating to an actor.

  • Above you can see Rachel Maddow following up her report on "The Family" and its connection to the "kill the gays" Uganda bill. It looks like "The Family" has finally decided to distance themselves from the whole mess.
