"Clara Sheller" Season 2 video clip update: Lies lies lies, yeah

In this clip from the French dramedy Clara Sheller, the title character learns that there's a difference between being a "free spirit" and being a "lying nutjob".

Clara has a history of telling little white lies to make her life more exciting, but it's finally caught up with her. She tells a co-worker that she's pregnant with Gilles's baby ... and the woman promptly calls Gilles to congratulate him.

Of course, Clara isn't really pregnant, and when she tells gay BFF J.P., it dredges up painful memories of their own past pregnancy troubles.

J.P. wants nothing to do with the deception, but does warn Clara when Gilles arrives home, ecstatic over the "news" that he's going to be a father.

Well, this is pure soap opera, but kudos to the show for attempting such a hoary old chestnut as "the fake pregnancy". It'll be interesting to see if Clara nips it in the bud, or if she allows it to continue.
