"Clara Sheller" video clip update #8: A croissant in the oven

When last we left the French dramedy Clara Sheller, newly-out J.P. and his BFF Clara were still reeling over the news that because of one drunken night together, they would soon hear the pitter-patter of little feet (and I'm not talking about J.P.'s former boyfriend, the diminutive circus juggler).

Nope, they're knocked up, and neither one is taking it very well. Clara is a hormonal mess (pregnant women!)*, and J.P. ends up provoking her into a fight by saying ... words.

J.P. runs into gorgeous next door neighbor Gilles, who reveals himself to be a man of many talents, including working with, and causing, wood.

J.P. and Clara settle their differences, and J.P. has a very awkward post-coming out dinner with his parents, which is understandable considering his mother is a bit, how can I put this ... totally freaking looney tunes!

We end with J.P. and Gilles growing closer. Hmmm....

So far, I like the way the show is walking the tightrope of sitcom pregnancy cliches, but if it ends with Clara in labor screaming "You did this to me!" at J.P., I'll be very disappointed.

You can see the clip after the break, and thanks again to ZTube31 for the translations.

* I keed about pregnant women and hormones. Having many sisters, I had to go through it countless times, and I learned to forgive the occasional "lapses in sanity", like when one sister threw a butter knife at my head because I ate the last Little Debbie Swiss Cake Roll.

    Thierry Neuvic (Gilles)

Thierry Neuvic has become one of my favorite men, especially after I saw this clip co-starring Stephane Freiss:
