"Clara Sheller" video update #6: The day the clown cried

Okay, so he's not a clown, he's a juggler ... but it's still the end of the line for our littlest gay hobo Ben, as J.P. kicks him to the curb in this short clip from the french dramedy Clara Sheller.

After a few weeks of circus bliss, J.P. decides he can no longer look the other way when Ben tries to hook up with every Bozo, Krusty, and Pennywise that comes along, and ends things.

As usual, Clara provides a much needed shoulder to cry on, as well as emotional support when J.P. turns his heartache into a brief-but-frightening Feng Shui obsession.

They end up where they always do, at a sidewalk cafe playing "rate the rear". They'd better enjoy these carefree days while they last, because from here on out, things are going to get complicated ... for both of them!

We're still digging on Sheller, which manages to combine the best elements of both relationship dramas and buddy comedies without short-shrifting either its straight female or gay male lead. So why is it again that nothing like this has ever been attempted in the States?
