"Clara Sheller" video clip update: French kissing
In this clip from the French dramedy Clara Sheller, our gay leading man J.P. is growing closer to his straight (and very hot) neighbor Gilles, and he realizes that he's becoming increasingly attracted to him. He decides to nip things in the bud by avoiding Gilles, which puzzles the hunky neighbor, who brings over a bottle of wine to try to smooth things over. J.P. finally admits that the reason he's been steering clear is because Gilles is too freaking hot not to want, and Gilles says he understands, and knows how difficult it must be, and that..Wha-wha-wha-what?...they start kissing! And that's about all there is to this lengthy clip. Kissing. Snogging. In the hallway..in J.P.'s office at work...shirtless on the chaise lounge. And not just quick pecks either, but deep, heaving kissing. It's like a year's worth of As The World Turns in one clip. They do come up for air long enough to run into J.P.'s ex, the juggling hobosexual, and the end of the clip is devoted to J.P.'s mother (and btw, Shady Pines is definitely calling this woman), but most of it is hot man on man lip action. In fact, through it all, I found myself singing one of my favorite lost hits of the 80's, and my undying love to anyone who remembers these lyrics: "Lips close, then blossom like a rose. Lips wide, holding you inside". I find it hard to fathom that an American show would attempt something like this. Bisexuality, two men kissing like they're trying to retrieve each others gum. The AFA would plotz. You can see the clip after the break, and remember: "take your lover by the hand, speak in tongues and understand". Submitted by on Tue, 2008-09-02 12:16. |

Wait, whaaaa?! I just found
Wait, whaaaa?! I just found out that "Clara Sheller" was aired on Swedish television last year (before this blog made me aware of the series)!
And it wasn't some weird subscriber's channel at a late hour either! It was aired on Saturdays at 19:00 on SVT2, a channel owned by every single person with a TV (it's free and state funded). 7 P.M., with children up and about and possibly watching.
And I didn't hear jack squat about it in the newspapers so people didn't make a fuss about it. I didn't know Sweden was this progressive. Too bad I didn't know about it!
La Nouvelle Clara
Season 2 (sort of) will be called "La Nouvelle Clara" (with an entirely new cast) and will be released in autumn (some say as late as November..).

I'm French and I have to
I'm French and I have to admit I heard about that show a few months ago but didn't pay attention to it cause usually French TV just sucks. But I love Frederic Diefenthal, and that's only when I saw the reviews here that I realized he was in that show, now I kinda like it ^^ (mostly cause of him I have to admit :-p)
The next episodes are so not appealing to me, I really hate it when they keep a show running but changing the whole cast !
OMG
