"Forbidden Love" video clip update: Tonight, on a "very special episode."

Aside from a brief discussion of the Axel story, our boys Olli and Christian spend this clip in friend mode, as they say goodbye to one acquaintance, and help another one through a...um.."crisis".

Lydia buys a new bathroom mirror (having destroyed the last one in a Carrie-like telekinetic rage...i'm assuming), and asks the boys for a few hours of bathroom privacy (let's just be thankful it wasn't a small hand mirror).

It seems Lydia is in full freak out about the way she looks, and has decided to pull a hot Legend of Billie Jean and cut her own hair, when her friends intervene.

She's insistent on changing things, so Olli offers to help. What happens next is straight out of Punky Brewster, as Olli pretends to do a makeover, but she ends up looking exactly the same.

Introducing Foxy Brown's German cousin

Her friends gather around her, and explain that they love her just the way she is, and she's already beautiful to them. If this was a sitcom, there would be a huge "AWWWW" from the studio audience right about now.

Lydia decides she still needs a haircut, so she decides to have it done professionally. Unfortunately, she must have accidentally gone to Pam Grier's stylist, because she comes back with a big black afro!

Oh wait...it's a knit cap. She takes it off, and reveals a very cute short cut, ala Faith Hill, or a fan of the LPGA.

Everyone loves Olli's doggie style

The boys also have to say goodbye to lawyer Lars, who is transferring to another firm. Before he leaves, he makes Olli promise to "take care" of Olivia. Yes, finally! I recommend something involving Africanized killer bees...or a hemlock milkshake.

I know a lot of people hate the "afterschool special" aspect of this clip, but I loved it. Olli and Christian are so warm and caring that I had to smile all the way through it. Christians' goofy looks and Olli's goofy voices (especially with the doll) redeem the clunky Lydia story. And the fact that they are so patient with Lydia (who's revealing all new whackadoodle sides to her personality) proves what good friends they are.

You can see the clip after the break, and thanks again to Nanna and The Gays of Daytime fro the translations.
