If T.R. Knight is really leaving "Grey's Anatomy", how should he do it?

After months of "will he or won't he?", gay reporter sprite Michael Ausiello is reporting that out Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight will be leaving the long-running show at the end of the season ... maybe.

We have the spoiler details below, and some suggestions for making his potential exit less ... lame.

*Note - This is my first attempt at "Photoshop". Growing up, we were the last family on our block to switch from Beta to VHS, I still have boxes of 80's music cassette tapes I listen to, and I finally bit the bullet and replaced my Dreamcast game system with an XBOX. And once again, I've come late to the party.

According to Ausiello, T.R.'s character George will join the Army as a medic and in the final episode of the season will be seriously injured in the line of duty, leaving his fate up in the air. Boring!

If they're going to send him off into the sunset, we've got some ideas ...

If they're going to off him, why not pull out all the stops and create a whole Halloween II/Visiting Hours horror storyline around it? Someone is killing the doctors in ironic ways, the latest being McSteamy, who's found tumbling around the dryer in the hospital laundry room, ala My Bloody Valentine.

George is shocked to discover that the killer is Izzy (Katherine Heigl), who kidnaps and chains him down in the hospital storage room, forcing him to watch an endless loop of 27 Dresses and Maid of Honor. He's scarred for life, and leaves the show in a strait-jacket for some "rest & recuperation".

Or...

Everyone is shocked when Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) returns to the hospital, and when he introduces new flame Ongina, George is shocked into a permanent comatose state.

Or better still...

Finally, in what's sure to be a controversial sweeps storyline, George finds himself strangely attracted to new doctor Kyle Julian (Adam Grimes). He decides to take a "leave of absence" to sort out his new feelings, and takes a staff job at the city hospital ... in Oakdale, Illinois.

Let's face it, any of these plots would bring some much needed pizazz to the faltering Grey's Anatomy. If George has to leave, how would you want to see his storyline wrap up?

    Enter the Rift

Captain Jack swings by to stop a portion of the rift opening up which would swallow Seattle Grace. The rift also opens the path for an alien race which combats a lot of the surgerons at the hospital.

George is visiting Izzie who is still recovering from her surgery. An alien smashes open the door and fights George. Izzie wakes up and finds that she has newly awakened psionic powers and it is key to gimping the alien threat. She subdues the alien just before Ianto can shot the alien. He uses another alien device to check on George who is only knocked out, but will need to recover from further wounds at Torchwood. Ianto tells this all to Izzie, who out of loyalty, goes with George to make sure he is safe.

Callie, meanwhile, is having awesome sapphic scenes with Arizona, both are unaware of the melee going on in the hospital. Gwen bursts in and interupts them, thinking they are aliens due to her tracking device. It seems that lesbians give off the same bio feild as the aliens. Further, the aliens don't seem to recognize Callie or Arizona as humans, allowing the two to act as spys. Captain Jack recruits them both for the greater good.

After some more heroics and some Janto snogging, Captian Jack wins again with not too much damage to the hospital. Retcon is given to all remaining in the hospital, though Jack forgets the dosage a bit and makes them go back 5 yrs to when the show started. The Torchwood team takes George back to Cardiff to heal with Izzie, Callie, and Arizona in tow for the upcoming war. Joe the bartender meanwhile, witnessing all this realizes it is his chance to be a more prevelent fixture on the show and ingrains himself more deeply in the lives of the surgeons at Seattle Grace.

    Crossover into Poltergeist land

Here's my Kind of funny idea of how T.R. knight should exit. Hopefully someone will remember the evil reverend Kane (played by the late Julian Beck) from Poltergeist 2 so they will understand what I am talking about.  Have the creepy old guy who played the evil reverend Kane in Poltergeist 2 enter the picture when George is by himself looking in the mirror one day at the hospital while Kane suddenly appears in the mirror and yells COME WITH ME and George suddenly dissapears into thin air.

I know that's probably kind of dumb, but I think its kind of funny.
