Heavenly news for "Hollyoaks" fans: John-Paul & Kieron are back!
Fans of the British soap opera Hollyoaks can rejoice: It looks like the show's mismatched gay couple, John-Paul and Kieron, are on the front burner again. Since John-Paul (played by James Sutton) was introduced in 2006, he's gone through quite a bit of drama, starting with a relationship with a girl at school, followed by his realization that he was actually in love with his straight best friend, Craig. After he confessed his feelings to Craig they shared a drunken kiss, but Craig didn't handle it well afterwards, and ... well, let's just say the drama between them could fill a Wikipedia page. When the character of Kieron (played by Jake Hendriks) was introduced early this year, he was taken in by John-Paul's family and eventually came out to J.P., which led to another drunken kiss, and eventually a night spent together. There was just one hitch, however. Kieron is ... a priest. Worse than that, he's a smoldering priest. It's all so Thorn Birds. J.P. confessed (sorry!) to Kieron that he still had feelings for Craig, and Kieron got all "What the hail, Mary!", and stormed out. It looks like they may be taking the first tentative steps toward getting back together, though, if this new clip is any indication. They show up halfway through the clip, but first you'll meet other characters, like J.P.'s sister Mercedes, who's like a mini-Tracy Scoggins. You can see it after the break, and many thanks to Gays of Daytime for the heads up! Submitted by on Thu, 2008-05-01 13:22. |

Yes - JP and Kieron are back on the show.
Snicks - Are you going to handle all of the Hollyoaks postings for AE?

JP and Kieron...
Fabulous News
As a fan of the JPC love saga (it was wonderful) and a viewer who actually LOVES the pairing of John-Paul with Kieron (he's a gorgeous hunk of a naughty priest), I'm glad that AE will be updating their current storyline.
Makes a mental note to have
If there is nothing going on with JP and Kieron
I've adored this show since
I've adored this show since I first discovered it last year. If anyone wants to see the JP/Craig story in its entirety, or see any of the older JP/Kieron clips there's a youtube user, da33431, who has them all uploaded (and conveniently numbered) here:

I'm so glad you guys are covering this show!
BBC America
I still can't believe the way BBC America treated this show. Soaps like this always need a little while before they get a fanbase, it just doesn't happen overnight.
Oh well, I guess in there case, you can't repeat LAST RESTAURANT STANDING and old Graham Norton episodes (they are fab, but come on) often enough...!

Spoiler Hints
I watched all of the
I watched all of the JP/Kieron clips in one sitting last week, after I finished watching (and reading) the entire history of Christian and Olli. When the fist Hollyoaks video started I was upset that there were no subtitiles, until, to my embarassment, I realized that the show was in english.
The story was well told, especially the part where John Paul admits how he feels about Kieron.
Hollyoaks as a foreign language

Lol! Well, sometimes I don't understand them either with their cute-ass British slang-ology.
"summat"
ok, while first watching hollyoaks (having never watched anything british in my life) i noticed some characters said something and to my ears, i heard "some eh" and i thought "hm, ok....some eh what?"
..so I asked this guy i knew who lived in the UK for a year what the hell "some eh" was. he didn't understand what i meant, so i said a line like "do you think i am boring or some eh?" and he started laughing and said "liz, the word is summat. it means 'something' - oops :-P
I also learned that british people can have different accents. (this really shows you my level of ignorance when it comes to non-american dialect, etc) - - i thought they all sounded the same, but learned, like americans...it depends where you're from in the country.
Need subtitles?

Haha! You are funny!
I have never seen JP and Craig much, but I will definitely YouTube-tune-in for JP and Kieron!

The stars must be alligned today
John Barrowman interviews James Sutton (John Paul) and Gerrard McCarthy (Chris) on This Morning. I had heard he was going to make a stint as the cohost, he still has that naughty glimmer in his eye.

Nothing new, but is actually nice to see Barowman doing something else. He is so charming.
