"Hollyoaks" video clip: A new gay in the village?

I don't think Russ is even remotely bisexual (which is a shame) but it would be lovely if Ravi turned out to actually be and if he and Russ continued to become really good friends

It's a shame that folks don't seem to take Kris's bisexuality seriously because really, with Ravi, that would mean two bisexual characters on Hollyoaks.

As for Nancy, she's a raving judgemental hysterical loon and I don't know how any human could put up with her as a girlfriend.

I don't think it's such big deal that Ravi tried to kiss Russ. People try to kiss each other all the time (especially when they're drinking). It's not like Ravi and Nancy were a couple.

They were dating (and had apparently broken up anyway at the time) and it's not like he cheated on Nancy.

I don't think Ravi needs to "confess" that he wanted to kiss Russ anymore than he'd need to "confess" that he wanted to kiss some other girl.

I'm all about being out and proud so if I had my way, Ravi would be all, "Yeah, BISEXUAL, WHAT OF IT?

But I also don't like this idea that because someone is bisexual, they have to day both a man and a woman at the same time (which it seems like the story is suggesting Ravi wants to do).

I just wish the girl in question here wasn't Nancy because she was such a raving homophobic "holier than thou" budinsky with regard to JP/Craig/Hannah/Sara fiasco, I just can't really care about her feelings.

 

 

You're right. It's a shame they haven't done more with his character's bisexuality. For some reason people seem to think "oh, it's just another part of his kooky personality", and brush it aside. Maybe with Ravi they'll actually dig a little deeper. On a strictly prurient note, I would LOVE for Russ to ...try out some new things.

hm, I don't know much about Ravi but the actor who plays him doesn't do much for me, I'm afraid. I don't like Nancy and though I have a soft spot for Russ, I doubt that will be enough. The storyline will have to be VERY good, to make me follow it.

I would still prefer Spike to come back for longer - can't see him with Ravi though.

Conclusion: I don't know yet ;) 

I like Ravi, but why would he try to kiss Russ? Russ seems to have been with like every woman in Hollyoaks, or close to it anyway, and Ravi knew that, And I really can't stand Nancy,

Would that make them Rass? Russi? Ruvi? RuRa?

An Indian bisexual on "Hollyoaks":)Must say it is a bizarre storyline though, I would never have pegged Ravi as having any interest in men.  And it has shades of the McDean/Sarah love triangle thing, which they just did, so there doesn't really seem to be a need to do it again.. lets see where it goes

He is so hot but that was absolutely hilarious what he did to Nancy, and she kinda deserved it!

The way the Hollyoaks ppl write stories, this new development in Ravi, who I originally thought was going to be just another retarded and boring character, is certainly not for shock factor. The way it was set up with the "she must have been blind" comment and then the flashback about the incident signals to me that this is TPTB's pick-up gay-interest storyline to make up for the fanbase that they knew they'd lose when James left the show.

After seeing this set of clips, it is very apparent Hollyoaks will be exploring his bi-ness. Remember people, these are Hollyoaks writers, NOT ATWT writers. I am anxious to see where this goes. Even if Ravi is a bit BLAH......and NO, Russ will not be bi. I think it is great he was used in this way, and had a very European male response in their chat the next day. If I have stuck with ATWT for these past 2 years with all of that silliness, I for sure see where this goes.

i think its interesting that outta all the characters on the show,the writers made ravi go after russ X3  also find it interesting that russ is the biological father of tinas baby.  haha im prolly the only one that thinks this, but maybe (sorry this is really lame haha) russ will try to get custody of the baby and him and ravi will get together and raise him. i dont think ive ever seen a gay couple raise a child on daytime tv before (but i havent really researched it, its just a thought)

on hollyoaks but Ravi ?? I never really cared for that character. I would so much prefer Kriss to find himself a boyfriend or Spike coming back and becoming a regular character (with a love interest of course !)

Interesting!  I'm very curious what the Hollyoaks writers have in store.  I assumed this was more about Ravi, but Russ himself was having flashbacks to the near-kiss moment.  Hmmmmm.  Could this be a questioning period for Russ?

I also thought it significant they were building a DJ booth, since that is Spike's claim to fame!

Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Normally, Hollyoaks goes for obvious plotlines, so, I think:

Ravi tries to pursue Russ, and either: Russ eventually succumbs, causing a questioning storyline, where he has self loathing (because it's also nancy's ex) and eventually becomes assured of his straightness by Kris.

Or: Russ rebukes the advances of Ravi, outing him to his family in the process, making Ravi's bi-coming-out-to-his-indian family storyline the main focus, which involves him phoning in to Kris' radio show.

Hollyoaks, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to surprise me.

 The John Paul storylines were great but he was always a bit weepy eyed. These two bruisers on the other hand might create a couple who're a little butcher and coarser; more like the men I've known and swung with

I REALLY hope they decide to pursue this storyline. I have had a huge crush on Russ forever (I don't care if no one else gets how sexy he is). Also, Ravi is very fit, and the two of them together would make a hot couple.
