"Hollyoaks" video clip update: Camille coughed

This is a two-part Hollyoaks clip, and the last we may see of John Paul and Kieron for a while. (actually, they're in tomorrow's episode, too. thanks to Bunch of Lemons for the heads up!)

The first clip opens with J.P. in what looks like an outtake from the Natalie Imbruglia music video "Torn", as he insists he has nothing to feel guilty about when it comes to Kieron.

It's a big day for the McQueen family, as they engage in life changing events that are completely alien to me, like "baby naming ceremonies" and "sovereign rings". I'm sure it's all a Catholic thing, but it just seems very "Middle Class Earth" to me. J.P. is there for his family, though, and somehow they survive his sister Carmel mangling "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

Meanwhile, Kieron is desperately trying to find a job, but is having no luck (of course, there's a dance pole and jeweled thong with his name on it, but he refuses to entertain that thought).

The second clip begins and ends with a shocker. First Myra is finally coming around to maybe, possibly accepting the relationship of J.P. and Kieron, and tells her son to invite Kieron over.

When Kieron arrives, J.P. is busy trying to corral Mercedes, and feeling out of place, he backs out and goes home (doesn't he realize that a Mercedes fight means the festivities are winding down?).

What happens when J.P. runs home to find him, I'll leave to you, but it shocked me, and I'm not sure in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I love that it happened, but as soon as I saw it, the first thing i thought was "Camille coughed".

In other words, it's "the beginning of the end".
