"Hollyoaks" video clip update: They're Baaaaack!

Well, after a month, we've finally got new Hollyoaks, and we pick up where we left off, with John Paul and Kieron trying to decide whether to announce their engagement.

In this agonizingly short clip, J.P. is hesitant about telling his mother, but Kieron convinces him that it's the right thing to do (with a little help from Niall).

Later, J.P. visits Kieron at work, and ratchets up the adorable factor with "can I have a beer please, barkeep?", but J.P. is still obviously nervous about having to tell his family, and seems to be channeling all of that nervous energy into travel plans for the two of them.

Back at home, Kieron comes in with his first "civilian paycheck", and there's a conversation about the celebratory tea taking "seventeen minutes", which leads Kieron to hornily suggest they may need longer than that, as he leads J.P. into the bedroom. (Oh please...amateurs! My ex-BF and I used to race the microwave popcorn. Now that's impressive! ... isn't it?)

Niall comes in to witness Kieron's afterglow (and as much as I love seeing Kieron in a towel, he kind of spoiled it by cinching it halfway up to his armpits), and the evil stepbrother tries to goad Kieron into pressuring J.P. to come clean to Myra.

As much as I love seeing our guys together again, something feels a little ... off. Could J.P. be getting cold feet? Or I am reading too much into his not wanting to announce the engagement? Either way, after a month of going without, this isn't exactly the big comeback we'd been hoping for.
