It's National Underwear Day! How will you celebrate?

Hot on the heels of our expose on the Speedo comes another excuse to show guys almost naked hard-hitting, in-depth look at something that affects us all.

Underwear: The Good, The Bad, And The Commando.

Today is National Underwear Day, and according to the founders, there IS a purpose:

"National Underwear Day was founded, and had its inaugural celebration in August 2003. Since that time, it has become a grand scale annual event featuring underwear runway shows at the center of Times Square in New York City, underwear changing tents where the public come to receive their own complimentary fresh pair, and live appearances by underwear models on the morning news shows. Every year, we celebrate yet another full force tribute to what everyone wears underneath."

Actually, this year's "event" is for a good cause. Donations of cash and new underwear will be given to Safe Horizons, which helps homeless youth and victims of violence living in shelters. So there's no need to shake your heads and say, "What's the point of this prurient post?"

All of this fanfare brings up a few important questions:

Why get so worked up over a piece of apparel that's kept hidden (most of the time)?

Is it "tighty whitey" or "tidy whitey"? I've always called it "tighty", but others use "tidy".

At what age is it no longer appropriate to wear Underoos?
