Kathy Griffin & Anderson Cooper: Together Again

Like noisemakers, fireworks, Times Square, and waking up in a pool of your own spew, it wouldn't be New Year's Eve without the pairing of Diva Kathy Griffin and CNN newsman Anderson Cooper.

This year was supposed to have been especially memorable with the addition of Lance Bass, but alas, he was a dud.

So how did Wayland & Madam: TNG fare last night? You may have heard crazy talk about Kathy's supposed "F" bomb, but I assure you it was just a ... mispronunciation ... of Falcon Heenie's first name. No really, it was.

Besides that much-discussed moment, the show was typical Katherson, with Kathy razor sharp and Anderson giggling through the whole shebang like a suave hyena. Between Kathy, Lance, and the awesome sight of Key West drag queen Sushi lowered down on a giant red high heel, it was without a doubt the gayest countdown of any kind since A Solid Gold Christmas.

Below you can see my favorite moment of the night, when Kathy reads a Tweet that asks the facial folically-challenged Andy "What's your safe word?" His response is priceless, eye-rolling, and probably the only response that he wouldn't have to explain later.
