Keith Olbermann lifted his self-imposed American Idol ban on Countdown last night to discuss runner-up Adam Lambert and the Rolling Stone interview.
He brought in NYC radio personality Maria Milito to dish about some of the details of Adam's interview, including the crush he had on Kris Allen and his "partaking" of certain substances. Somehow the focus of the chat turns to the snake on the cover, and its "strategic placement", and whether it's "phallic". Whether?
Even though he obviously despises American Idol, you have to give Keith credit for being a good sport.

I think Freud once said...
Keith Olbermann
What I liked about Keith's take on the whole thing was his apparent complete befuddlement that there was any "news" in a story talking about Adam being gay. In other words, "we all knew that already, nobody should think it's a big deal anyway, let's move on".
Brian - I think you've got Freud's quote exactly correct. Freud was obsessed with crotches, as we all know...
As a latino lego character once said:
Adam's voice and hotness
Susan Boyle didn't win?

You could have knocked me over with a trouser snake! And Adam Lambert didn't know he was already out? Somebody at AE must have forgotten to send him the memo. It's a strange world we live in, Master Jack.
"The mountain has wings."
Master Jack
"It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack." Wow, talk about obscure references! That's the most obscure one I've noticed on AE. (Of course, I would have skipped right over the more obscure ones!)
So I wonder where the four jacks and their jill are today?
I actually think
I actually think his segment on Adam was good, it wasn't bad at all. He mostly stayed objective/neutral during the whole thing, and even he didn't understand why it was such a big deal..
Harvey Milk: You gotta give 'em hope.
Not gay unless you say
Now now, Dennis. Don't you know that in America no one is gay unless they say they are gay. No matter what they do.
I mean just ask the guys who frequent websites like Sean Cody or Corbin Fisher. Not that I've ever looked at such things myself mind you ;-)
