Liveblogging "One Life To Live": No unicorns were harmed in the making of this liveblog

I know you're thinking "what's with the bloody unicorn?" It's just a little tribute to one of the greatest scenes this show has given us. Picture it: One Life to Live two days ago. Blair is stuck on a boat with Ross as T.B.T.D. is marrying Todd. Realizing she's going to miss her "wedding interruptus" moment, she inexplicably ... blows an airhorn.

Apparently, this is one of those industrial strength airhorns, because everyone in Llanview hears it, including the members of the wedding. The wonderfully evil little Jack turns to Todd and says "it sounds like a unicorn dying". Without missing a beat Todd looks down at him and says "I'm sorry sweetie, it wasn't a unicorn. It was a cat ... being strangled to death".

How can they even think of canceling this show?

Anyway, on with the liveblog! (and thanks to Ed for the unicorn heads-up) *Oh, and another of the greatest scenes this show has ever given us is yesterday when Ross climbed onto the boat after swimming, in a very clingy swimsuit.

2:05PM EST: We start off with Oliver ordering a "Kyle, over easy" ... i mean a "turkey burger" at Rodi's, when Kyle comes in and finishes his order for him. They talk about Oliver's parents again, and Kyle says he confronted George, and they have a good laugh at the awkwardness of it all.

Cris tells Layla that he's meeting with an art dealer about his paintings ... a female art dealer. Layla says "so is this a meeting, or a date?" , and Cris replies "what do you care?"

2:15PM EST: Oliver apologizes profusely for what happened back in college when his mother walked in on them. He told his mother that Kyle "disgusted him", but the truth is he was disgusted with himself. Kyle says "that's what hurt most of all ... that you couldn't see what I saw ... you're perfect just the way you are". *Sigh*

The little green monster is devouring Layla, but she won't admit it. She's intent on protecting Cris from any "cougar" attacks.

Jarod is soaking wet and wrapped in a towel after his shower. It's not clingy enough, though.

2:25PM EST: Oliver and Kyle continue patching things up when Nick walks in. I was going to say "kishblocker" or "third wheel" but Nick is too sweet a guy to be mad at. He and Kyle get a table, and when he asks Oliver if he wants to join them, Oliver says "no, no .. we're finished", but what he wants to say is "hands off my man!".

2:30PM EST: Cris comes into Rodi's and makes a bee-line to Oliver, asking him if anyone's come in asking for him. Oliver is too busy sneaking peeks at Kyle and Nick to be much help. Cris asks Oliver "do you still want the guy?" and Oliver says "do you really want to talk about this? It doesn't really matter, Kyle's seeing someone. Cris says "you wanna know the straight guy's reaction to that situation? No ring ... no strings".

2:40PM EST: Nick wants to know what's up with Kyle and Oliver, and Kyle explains that Oliver just came out to his parents, and the man at the front desk "yesterday" was Oliver's dad. He tells Nick that he thought it was best that Oliver knew that he had a confrontation with his dad. Nick nods in agreement and says "it wouldn't help to warn him that his dad saw his kiss". Kyle says "well, I didn't tell him that" and Nick says "why not?" Kyle looks hesitant to answer.

Meanwhile, Cris says "those two just started dating, so it's probably not that serious". Oliver says "Kyle's moved on", but Cris is adamant that Oliver stake his claim. Oliver comes back with "well, when are you going to tell Layla how you feel about her".

2:50PM EST: Kyle says "i didn't tell him about the kissing because ..." Nick interrupts and says "because you didn't want to hurt Oliver. Which means either you're still hung up on him, or he's still hung up on you. So which is it?" I'm not jealous, I just want to know. So which is it

Oliver presses Cris about why he's gone out of his way to get close to Layla, and Cris says "we're just friends, hanging out and going to Lionel Richie concerts. We were just running with the night, playing in the shadows. I just longed to see the sunlight in her hair, and tell her time and time again, how much I care. Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow." "Hello!" Oliver says, "you just need to take your own advice and tell her".

2:55PM EST: Before Kyle can answer, Nick gets a text that he needs to meet with the mayoral candidates about gay rights issues. He says "I really like you, and I try not to get my hopes up so soon. But if you're still involved with Oliver ...". Kyle interrupts and says "Oliver just needs a friend right now". They share a kiss, and Nick leaves.

Cris and Oliver see the whole thing, and Cris says "Kyle's all alone. Now's your chance to tell him". Layla walks in and Oliver turns to Cris and says "I will if you will".

Oliver puts his police cap on and walks over to Kyle. He says "you have a minute?"
