Liveblogging "One Life to Live": Aftershock!

Above you can see the varying reactions to the announcement of Dorian and Amelia's engagement (except for TBTD, but it was too funny not to include).

Today's episode should have Amelia and Nick trying to decide what the next step of "the plan" should be, and Oliver tangling with Cabana Boy Ross.

2:05PM EST: We start with Kyle still playing pocket pool (I can watch it all day) as DVTM finishes his speech.

Amelia and Oliver get into it about the engagement scam. Amelia says "we're doing this for you, Oliver, we're doing this for everyone". Oliver makes a helluva point when he responds "How, by lying about your feelings. I thought we were past all that". He and Kyle share another glance at each other.

2:10PM EST: TBTD enters the hospital, but when she tries to rush to Blair's room, Dorian stands in her way and says "You take one more step and I'll rip your throat out!". She calls TBTD "garbage". Ouch!

Jack wants to go see Blair, but Noel insists he stay. They settle down and watch the rebroadcast of Dorian's press conference, and when Jack hears Dorian make her big announcemnet, Jack's eyes widen and he says "Aunt Dorian is a lesbian! When did that happen?"

Amelia tries to argue "who are we to decide what makes a marriage?", and Oliver says "I understand that, but why use a straight woman? What happens when people find out?" Nick steps in and says "And how will they find out, Oliver? Will you tell them?"

2:25PM EST: Ross is slinking around the house when Noel catches him stealing a briefcase.

TBTD and Dorian are still scratching each other while Blair insists on telling Todd "something big about her". Strangely, Todd doesn't want to hear it.

Nick is all up in Oliver's business, and he finds out that Oliver overheard him and Amelia in the cafe. Kyle comes forward and tells Nick and Amelia the whole "well, Oliver thought you were plotting Dorian's assassination" thing, which prompts a lot of derisive laughter. Kyle sticks up for Oliver, which obviously cheeses Nick off. Nick tells Oliver "we're not committing any crimes. I know I wanna marry the man I love (glancing at Kyle), and someday I hope you meet ..." before he can finish, Oliver gets a police cop call, and has to leave.

Which may have something to do with Ross, who's been discovered by Noel (who waves a rolling pin around), and is clobbered unconscious by a trophy-wielding Jack, who says "you mess with Noel, you mess with me, sucker!".

2:35PM EST: Blair has "selective amnesia" and doesn't remember what happened. I love that soap opera chestnut. Maybe she'll start having flashbacks at awkward moments.

Oliver shows up to see a hogtied Ross on the floor (START YOUR FANFIC) and arrests him.

2:45PM EST: Oh wow, this is getting good. Nick and Kyle are getting into over Oliver. Nick says "I find it oddly convenient that Oliver's principles only kick in when it's somebody else that's lying". Kyle angrily says "you don't know anything about him, Nick!". Queen Amelia says "He's a loose cannon! I want him contained!", and Kyle responds "don't look at me, I'm not his keeper".

Amelia smirks and says "that's not what I heard. I hear he's crazy about you". Kyle turns to Nick and says "you told her?" Amelia wants Kyle to help "contain" Oliver, which prompts Nick to ask Kyle to go along with it. Kyle is upset, and obviously doesn't want to use Oliver, but Nick grabs him by the shoulders and says "get him to see how important this is. don't you wanna be free to marry the man you love someday".

Oliver hauls Ross in and gives the perp the third degree. (START YOUR FANFIC).

2:55PM EST: Ha! Jack wants to know if he'll "wake up and be gay someday"

Ross uses his one phone call to talk about how all of the answers are in that briefcase he tried to steal.

Todd wants to know what Blair was trying to tell him, but TBTD's lips are sealed.
