Liveblogging "One Life To Live": The Big Day, Part Six "Kyle's Choice"

Kyle makes his decision today, but if it was up to you, the choice should be clear. Here are the results from last week's poll.

Well at least nine percent of you got it right. An overwhelming two-thirds think Kyle should choose Oliver. Will he agree?

Joins us for the fun and refresh for updates!

2:05PM EST: Bora! Bora! Bora! The Horra! The Horra! The Horra!

Is it just me, or is half the cast now in "London"? Where is the Buchanan estate? If it's on the Moors, steer clear of anyone who looks like Griffin Dunne!

Nick tells Kyle "It's time", and Kyle stands up like he's being led to the gallows.

2:10PM EST: Ha! Neville is Nigel with bad teeth. He opens the door and basically tells DVTM to buzz off (as Destiny hides in the bushes).

Reverend Carpenter pleads with the protesters to act like human beings. Good luck with that.

2:15PM EST: Viki asks Todd How's Blair?" and Todd says "she's Blair?". Enough said.

On the trip to "London", TBTD spills the beans to Eli that Ross is not Dani's father.

Ross shows up at the boarding school and is caught by headmistress Ursa (I don't know if that's her name, but that's what I'm calling her).

2:20PM EST: Oh dear ... Dorian looks in physical pain as Andrew talks about true love. Nick and Kyle are standing together, and Kyle keeps glancing back at Oliver. Cris and Layla mention to each other how devastated Oliver looks.

OMG, here we go. Nick turns to Kyle and whispers "I love you", prompting a "wha-wha-wha-what?" from Kyle. Andrew says "please take out your rings, and as you exchange them, I will announce you partners". Kyle, who looks about ready to bust out crying, fidgets and finally says "wait, I can't do this!" The camera pans to Oliver, whose heart has just taken a giant leap out of his chest.

2:25PM EST: Nick asks him what's going on, and Kyle says "you said you loved me. We've never said that to each other". Nick says "I do love you, Kyle". Kyle says "I'm sorry, but I don't love you, Nick. Someday I want to marry the man I love. I just hope I get that chance". He turns around and stares at Oliver. Now it's Nick's turn to look devastated.

2:35PM EST: Neville is duped by Destiny. He needs to hand in his British Butler card.

Ross is carted off by a hot security guard in black gloves before he can see Danni.

Kyle walks up to Oliver and tearfully says "I know that I said it's over between us, but here I am in a tux, surrounded by all these people, who are just proudly sharing their love with one another, and I just keep thinking I'm standing with the wrong man, because all I want to do is share my love with you. So what do you think, do you think we can we give it another shot?" Oliver tearfully says "I do", and Kyle caps it off with "I love you, Oliver. I always have". A tearful Nick turns and runs off, as Roxy runs up to Kyle and says "you can still get married! Marry Fish!"

2:45PM EST: Kyle and Oliver thankfully agree that now is not the right time to get married, and maybe they should try dating first.

Dorian, it seems, is determined to go through with it even after Amelia gives her another out. Dorian says "I've said I'm gay, It won't go away, I'm here to stay!" The only thing missing is "get used to it!"

2:55PM EST: Andrew wraps up the wedding speech, and says "you may kiss your spouse". Dorian and Amelia reluctantly kiss, as DVTM looks on from London, horrified. Roxy walks up to Jackie Hoffman as Protester #1 and says "don't knock it til you've tried it", and places a kiss on her lips, which elicits a smile from the loudmouth hater, before the mask of hate is put back on her face. Kyle and Oliver share a tender kiss, and are soon drowning in a sea of smooches. It's a great way to end the show.

Preview Time: Kyle and Oliver decide the next step.

    Maybe not...

I do think that it's a little early to discuss the Emmys, and some of their picks for awardees are such head scratchers, but for fun speculation's sake, Scott Evans only recently turned 26, so he can still submit himself in the Outstanding Younger Actor Category for next year's Emmys.

It would be such a coup if both he and Brett Claywell got nods next year, w/ Brett scoring one for Outstanding Supporting Actor, as he's past the age cut off for the Outstanding Younger Actor nomination, which Scott would hopefully nab.

    Llanview goes global

    tee hee :D

As much as I LOVED it all- a couple of naughty marbles kept rolling around my head whilst all the joyous post KNICK --> KISH hugging and kissing was going on:

If they managed to catch the Llanview marriage-palooza all the way over in London, England (TM), one can quite as easily imagine that the folks in Hicksville, Wherever got it too, including Oliver's parents! Can we hope for a re-appearance (even telephonically) by a wrathful Mr. and Mrs. Fish Senior, mortified at their son's performance on the News and ready to sever the cord forever? Or quite the opposite?? Of all the KISH magic thus far, Oliver's parents was a particularly well-played set up, and I sort of want more- It's just a perfect in...

Now that Nick's been jilted at the altar in front of millions- what better opportunity for a convenient descent into psychosis, as only soaps do it best! Now don't all start squalling about gay=mad stereotypes; the mere thought of the beautiful Mr. Chavez doing the full psycho jilted bride on our re-united love birds offers a smorgasbord of soap-tastic opportunities: kidnapped boyfriends! kidnapped children (mad Nick ate our baby!) stalking! luring of loved ones into danger so that Office Fish can charge up his taser once more... bwa ha ha ha ha..

OK, a little OTT I know- I just don't want KISH to descend into mundane occasional sightings as is what I've read happened to the couple on ATWT. If we can't have the giddy heights of emotional outpouring a la last night, then lets slide down the slippery slope of melodrama to keep things interesting..

    Maybe only me but ...

I thought it was funny that when Kyle asks Oliver if he wants to try again, that Oliver says "I do" very cute. OK, I look for the obscure.

But Scott's and especially Brett's acting was absolutely amazing. Even down to the quivering lower lip and the voice cracking. I was bawling like an idiot.

I too hope that Nick stays around. Nick the actor is great, Nick the character, well, keeping secrets from your boyfriend that affect both of them is just not cool.

I do still have issues of the way Ameilia and Nick were plotting that it didn't matter if people were not really in love. Just because some people get married for stupid reasons, does not make our case any stronger.

Stepping down of my soap box now (no pun intended.... ok, maybe it was)

The Kiss and The Crane Shot

I was a little bit peeved about that shot. But I guess we have to start with baby steps.

I mean, Langston and the other one (I'm really only watching for Oliver and Kyle!) got much more of a real kiss, side view, lips apart, and they weren't even the focus of this story.

Honestly, Kyle and Oliver's should have kissed twice. The first should have been right after Kyle said "I love you, and do you want to try again", and Oliver said "I do", there should have been a kiss so hot that it melted your TV into a puddle of plastic right then and there. And I mean a real kiss; the kind you would see between a couple that just admitted their love to each other; hot, deep, passionate, lips apart, tongues moving.

Then there should have been that closing kiss, which could have been less passionate, but we should have had a good 3 seconds linger on the kiss, and THEN the pan up for the overhead shot with everyone closing in on them.

But, hey, you take what you can get, I suppose. This was by far much, much more than we have gotten on any other show in daytime, and it marks a huge step forward. We can't shock the housewives in Middle America too much. You have to lead them by the hand for a while before you hit them hard with teh gay!

And I have to agree with everyone that Brett's acting in those scenes was astounding, as were Scott's. They really, really are bringing it, much more than I would have expected from soap actors.

Now I cannot wait to see what they have in store for our boys.
