Liveblogging "One Life To Live": Can't a FUB Get His Groove On?

Oliver and Kyle are about to take the next big step in their relationship when they hear that Nick has been attacked.

2:05PM EST: Ross has kidnapped Danyelllla and is trying to leave the hospital with TBTD and Todd in fast pursuit.

Layla and Cris decide that "tonight's the night". Meanwhile, Nick and Oliver go back to Kyle's apartment. We see a noticeably nervous FUB, but Kyle says "If tonight is the first night we end up making love, it'll feel right. But only if you're ready."

Nick stumbles into the ER. The makeup artists did a number on his face. That sure ain't Toaster Strudel!

Kyle sees a box on his bed. The note with it reads "Kyle, have fun with trout, and be safe, love Roxy. " Inside the box are condoms. Awwww! Kyle says "she's kind of my best friend now". Oliver turns red-faced, but Kyle says "you don't have to be embarrassed, Oliver. I love you, and you love me. You know what would make you feel a lot better? Mood lighting." He strikes a match and holds it up for the camera to gaze on ... which is the international gay sign for "let's get it on".

2:15PM EST: Ross and Danni are in the hospital parking lot when Blair pulls in. This is not going to end well.

Marty is attending to Nick and when he comes around he tells her was jumped by Day Thugs because he's gay.

Kyle really likes candles, doesn't he? His bedroom looks like Carrie White's house when she comes home from the prom.

Kyle and Oliver are having a very hot, sweet, romantic scene on the bed (with Oliver on top). Damn, it's nice! They kiss passionately when ... they both get calls, from Marty and McBain telling them that Nick has been admitted to the hospital.

2:25PM EST: The All-American Rejects are performing again. Since everyone took me to task for not knowing who they were last time, let me state for the record that I love them. They're much better than "Cats". I'm going to listen to them again and again.

Oliver and Kyle show up at the hospital and learn that Nick has a concussion and fractured ribs. They rush in to see him, and Kyle asks "what did they do to you?"

Oliver goes back outside, but when McBain shows up, he goes back into the room with him. John asks Nick what happened, and Nick tells him about the thugs and what happened outside the bar. Oliver says he thinks he saw them, too, right after the swearing in. Oliver leaves with McBain, but Kyle tells him he's going to stay ... to be with Nick. Stay steady Oliver!

2:35PM EST: Blair is about to be kidnapped by Ross. Should we begin the countdown to how many days Ross has left?

Cris is tired of Layla constantly bringing up every subject but their relationship.

Marty and Kyle talk about Nick's prognosis, and it turns out he doesn't have any internal injuries or head injuries, but they want to keep him overnight for observation. Kyle talks to Nick, who apologizes for being a Kish Block.

Oliver and McBain bring the Day Thugs in and rough them up. Oliver slams one against a wall and says "you beat a guy up for being gay. You kicked the hell out of him just for being different than you?" The thug says "you think I'd touch a queer?" Oliver says "You're touching one now", and is about to punch the guy when McBain stops him. On a side note ... lots of great Fish Heads™ in this scene.

2:45PM EST: John holds Oliver back, and tells the guard to take the thugs away and to put the "big mouth in with Mitch Laurence" Ha!

Oliver and John have a nice conversation about gay progress, and John tells him "you're doing everything you can".

Nick apologizes again for having them call Kyle, and says "I just didn't want to be alone, Kyle". Kyle puts his hand on Nick's chest and says "you're not alone Nick. I'm here."

2:55PM EST: Ross is about to drive away with Blair and Danni when he's pinned in by the cops. He pulls around and smashes through some barricades and takes off.

Oliver shows up at the hospital to tell Kyle and Nick that they caught the thugs. Kyle says "thank you" , and goes back to attend to Nick. Oliver turns away ... perhaps a tiny bit ... green?
