Liveblogging "One Life To Live": What Would Blue Say?

I'm sorry, I just can't get over the fact that the lead gay-bashing day thug is played by Donovan Patton, the star of Blues Clues. Actually he was the second star, after the first one, Steve Burns died in a tragic accident/suicide/murder/satanic sacrifice/from eating Pop Rocks/in Vietnam/from spider eggs in Bubble-Yum*

* May be an urban legend.

Anyway, this episode will hopefully feature more of Donovan, who had to spend the night in a cell with Mitch Laurence.

Can Oliver handle it when Kyle needs to spend time with the recuperating Nick?

2:05PM EST: It's the morning after for Layla and Cris. Oliver calls Kyle and tells him that those two are still gong at it, and Kyle says "well at least someone's getting lucky. I'm so sorry about last night". Oliver says "don't even think about apologizing. Your ex got bashed. You were there for Nick at the hospital, and I got to catch the scum that put him there. We were both where we needed to be".

Matthew and Destiny are trying to figure out how to track Danyeeellla down, when Destiny's mother bursts in and says "get your coat! We're leaving this god-forsaken place and everyone associated with it!".

Mitch Laurence makes a horrible crack about Marty and McBain: "I don't know what you see in him ... he didn't even rape you".

2:10PM EST: A sheet-clad Layla and Cris try to sneak past Oliver, but obviously they don't realize that FUBs have heightened senses. Oliver tells Layla "you deserve to have your socks knocked off by Cris. The walls shook last night". Layla ask Oliver what happened between him and Kyle, and we switch to Nick in the hospital having nightmare flashbacks, as Kyle tries to calm him down and says "I'm here".

2:15PM EST: Destiny's mother says "every since you started mixing it up with the Buchanans, it's been one disaster after another". Listen to your mother!

Natalie and Kim are getting ready to have a good-ole fashioned soap catfight. Yes!

2:25PM EST: Oliver tells Layla what happened, and as he leaves she says "make you sure you throw the book at them!" Cris comes out of the bathroom ,his naked glistening torso bathed in a golden light, and Layla embraces him.

What the hell is Kim wearing? She looks like Satan's Secretary. Natalie asks Clint "how could you hire that plastic piece of ass?" I LOVE THIS NATALIE!

Nick wants to start working again as soon as possible, and asks for his PDA, but Marty tells him he needs to take it easy. His body may be bouncing back, but his head may take longer. Marty asks him "do you feel comfortable being 'out' in public? It seems to me that what you do not only takes a lot of courage, but it also takes a lot of faith in your fellow man". Nick grimaces, and Kyle asks him what's going on. Nick says "just stop!", and Kyle says "i'll leave you alone", but Nick grabs his hand and says "please stay".

2:40PM EST: Natalie has a hot meltdown ... again.

Nick blames himself for the attack. This is so sad. Marty (who i'm liking more and more) tells him he needs to save his strength to make sure the people who did this pay for what they did.

Mitch is goading John until John threatens to kill him. Unfortunately Oliver is outside the door and hears the while thing. John is about to go all Elliot Stabler on him when Oliver tries to intervene and asks if he can participate in the questioning. John says no, and closes the door on Oliver's face.

2:45PM EST: Marty tells Nick that he needs to lean on family through this. He says "I don't have family here, I just have Amelia, and she's not here". Kyle says "you have me". Oliver comes in and wants Nick to pick out some mugshots of the thugs. But is he ready?

2:55PM EST: Yes, he's ready. Nick picks out all three thugs, and Oliver says "we've got them in lock-up. They're going away for a long time". Kyle reassuringly strokes Nick's hair, and Oliver gets "that look" again. Keep it steady, Oliver!

Natalie walks into John's office with the letter opener she threatened Kim with hidden in her hand. Mitch continues to taunt her and long story short ... Mitch now has a letter opener in his chest.
