Liveblogging "The Young & The Restless": But what will Kitty think?

With Phillip's coming-out process well underway, we turn our attention back to Rafe and Adam on today's show.

Can Rafe convince Adam to come out of the closet? Um ... Probably not. And did Mary Jane's cat receive the Tender Vittles he was promised?

12:35PM EDT: Oooh, more of the creepy "potting shed" soundtrack. Love it! So Adam is officially in cahoots with Mary Jane? Rafe knocks on Adam's bedroom door, then comes in, not expecting to see a c*ckblock standing there. Heather looks perplexed, and says "Rafe, what are you doing here?"

12:40PM EDT: Summer is ready to leave the hospital, and Phyllis tells Nick th .... I'm sorry, I was distracted by how shiny Nicks' muscular arms are.

12:45PM EDT: Ted Shackelford! Anyway, Rafe tells Heather that he's there to talk to Noah, and just decided to pop in and say hi to Adam. They have a strained conversation about Adam's future, and how he "needs to make peace with himself". Adam enters and says "Rafe, you're here!" Heather is all "Um, yeah, I'm here too. You know, the person you're having sex with". Adam says "so, you're both here", causing Rafe's and Heather's eyes to narrow. Hmm .. does Heather suspect something?

12:50PM EDT: Heather and Adam kiss, making Rafe turn away. Adam tells him that Noah is gone, but needs to deliver some info from Noah, alone, so beat it, Heather! As soon as she leaves Adam asks if Rafe told her anything. He said "of course not. I'm not going to out you, but I'm not going to live a lie, either. It's not fair to me or Heather". Adam says "I don't know how to tell her. Just be patient, please. It'll just be a few more days, i promise". Rafe says "okay", and they embrace. Rafe leaves, as the Sofa o' Sin openly mocks Adam.

12:55PM EDT: Mary Jane is devouring a sandwich when the family dog runs into the potting shed and almost uses poor Kitty as a chew toy. Mary Jane huddles in the corner as Ashley grabs the dog and walks him outside. The show missed an opportunity by not letting Mary Jane go nuts on the dog. In fact, I'd love it if that's how they'd proceed. Various family members slowly start disappearing, one by one. Where could they be? No one would expect ...the potting shed! When the police arrive, each family member has been gutted and stuffed, with Mary Jane using them as furniture. Except for Ashley, whose skin is now a lampshade.

But I digress ...

1:05PM EDT: Heather tells Adam that Mary Jane is the one who told the lies about Summer's abuse, and he seems bemused. We see them passionately kiss (as opposed to the passionate ... hug ... he just gave Rafe), and when she leaves, a creepy smile comes over his face as he talks about Ashley feeling better ... "and we can't have that". I'm loving evil Adam.

1:15PM EDT: Rafe and Colleen drown their sorrows together, as Ted and a lady wearing way too much orange (including orange pearls) plot Colleen's downfall. Rafe tells her "I broke the first rule of man-dating. Never fall for a guy who's still in the closet. He looks at me with these puppy-dog eyes, and I forget about all of the alarm bells going off in my head". Colleen says "So does Mr. Puppy-dog eyes have a name?"

1:25PM EDT: Oh dear, it appears that Summer may have brain damage. I hate to pick on a little kid actor, but ... this girl makes me giggle. Rafe tells Colleen "I can't betray his confidence. He's not out yet." Adam is slinking around the mansion (why doesn't he ever bump into things?) eavesdropping on Ashley and Victor, and overhears him proposing to her. They make plans to get hitched tonight, which causes Adam to hustle out of there and reveal the news to Mary Jane. He brings her a dress, and says that she's going to crash the wedding. Mary Jane says "what are you, crazy?" Okay, if Mary Jane thinks you're crazy, you've got a serious problem. Adam says "you're not going as Mary Jane" ...
