Can Out Olympian Matthew Mitcham Become "Australia's Greatest Athlete"?

They all look like winners to me

Out golden boy Matthew Mitcham is back in competition. No, not in the Winter Olympics (diving into a frozen pool is tough on the noggin), but in the second season of Rexona - Australia's Greatest Athlete.

Matt and seven other Aussie sports stars compete in various challenges each week, sort of like Battle of the Network Stars, but with hot guys in speedos instead of jiggly Charlene Tilton and hot-headed Robert Conrad.

Matt's still the cutest ... and twinkest

The first two episodes have already aired, with challenges including mini-ironman, swimming, and soccer, and so far Matt is doing ... okay, landing square in the middle of the leaderboard.

He's also landed in the middle of the two polls the show is conducting. The first poll asks "Who is the toughest psychologically", with Matt tied for third place with 12%, and the other poll asks "who are you tipping to win", with Matt landing in fifth place, with only 5% of people voting thinking he can pull it off.

New episodes air each weekend in Australia, and you can follow the action online, so let's give some positive energy to our guy. Odds are they aren't going to have a diving competition (which isn't fair considering that some of the athletes are football stars and they've already had a contest using those skills), so Matt will need all the support he can get!

Wow! Matt couldn't look more adorable. He reminds me of fitness model Luke Guldan or Bryan Thomas.

I didn't know who Luke Guldan was so I googled him and OMFGJesus! I had a stroke! he is Gorgeous...and those thighs? *faints* I've never seen someone fill sweatpants in such a strain-y way!!

I've never heard of this show! Admittedly I don't watch any TV apart from the news (and Aussie Rules footy, which hasn't started yet) but I read the TV Guide and haven't seen anything about this at all.

The only three athletes from this that I've heard of are Matthew, Cameron Ling (from the Geelong Cats Aussie Rules team) and Craig Lowndes, the racing car driver. Have no clue who any of the others are.

And if they've done footy and other physical land-based sports, they have to do diving! So unfair otherwise!

(I see it's pretty much east-coast based. We don't have rugby in my neck of the woods.)
