Meet "Team Gay" from the new season of "Project Runway"!

Like many people, I've been worried that Project Runway would lose the certain "je ne sais gay" that it enjoyed on Bravo when it made the move to Lifetime (and its recent promos haven't helped assuage my fears.)

But they're certainly taking a step in the right direction with the announcement of this year's designers. Of the sixteen new contestants, eight are men, six of whom are out. Well, five of the guys are out, and one describes his sexuality as "in flux".

Look below for pics and profiles of the five out gay designers (and the "in flux" designer Malvin) and be sure and catch Project Runway when it debuts on Lifetime on Thursday, August 20th at 10PM ET.

Well, I already have my favorite (let's just say I quite fancy guys in baseball caps). How about you? First thoughts?

    I'm with you on Christopher. He's definitely a cutie. I can only go off that so far. I'm just glad the guys this season seem to dress semi-normal for once. I mean, shouldn't a designer try to look as great as his or her clothes? Instead from the two seasons I've seen, the guys have the craziest clothing styles and/or hair.

    I'm going with Johnny Sakalis.  It's the facial hair and tough guy stance that do it for me.  Hopefully, he won't turn out to be a jerk.

    Christopher is a cutie though...

    I'd go for Nicolas.  I doubt I'll watch the show though.  What I've seen from past season in previews, etc. just doesn't look like it would interest me.  I am, however, eternally amazed by people who can do stuff like that.  I think my hair stylist is a god!

    i have to agree with Snicks, baseball caps on the right guy is always an eye catcher for me.

    i also like his kind of design, atleast from the little that he said.

    Mr. Mitchell Hall has a picture of Austin Scarlett and Naomi Campbell.  This can mean only two things...

    C-O-U-T-U-R-E!  and F-I-E-R-C-E!

    Of course, this is all speculation, but I'm already anticipating what he's going to cook up.

    Christopher is definitely the hottest.  Anyone who matches his belt to his baseball cap is gonna get far.

     Mitchell looks like Van Hansis.  But slouchier.

     Ra'mon-Lawrence is gonna OWN.
