While not as entertaining as Isaac Mizrahi's stint as groper to the stars or Kathy Griffin's concern for the welfare of a certain young celebrity, former boybander Joey Fatone certainly made his mark last night as a red carpet interviewer for the TV Guide Network.
In a cringe-inducing, somebody-stop-the-bleeding chat with Milk actor James Franco, the former N-SYNC star manages to make Ryan Seacrest look competent. The trouble starts when Joey calls milk that "white stuff", and it goes downhill from there.
Enjoy the carnage, which if nothing else harkens back to the glory days of Joan and Melissa Rivers.
What's with the TV Guide channel? They also have seemingly given Justin Guarini a career as a host/interviewer. I hesitate to call him a ''washed up'' pop star since his singing career seems to have stalled at the gate. ... Where are some REAL interviewers who know their showbiz stuff, like Thomas Roberts or Steve Kmetko (who also happen to be out)?
I hope Lance ended his friendship with Joey the minute he saw this clip! Is it difficult to play a homosexual... seriously??? Kudos to James for brushing it aside with some decorum!
but who in the hell says "homosexual" that many times in a row. Most people switch over to gay at some point. It's like he was trying to reinforce homosexual in contrast to heterosexual, instead of just gay.
Maybe he should have asked...
..."What's it like to have a career?"
When are we going to stop this INSANITY of washed-up pop stars-turned red carpet gasbags?
TV mis-Guided
Erm. . .
. . .last time I checked, TV Guide Network is owned by News Corp., which is Fox. . .
Say wha!?!?!
OH, THE HORROR
THERE ARE NO WORDS.
SERIOUSLY.
EGADS! WTF! GRRR ARRRGH!
Where is Lance Bass to give his "Pal Joey" a good hard THUMP! when you need him?
"Heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common." (Dorothy Parker)
darn..
For some dumb reason, it won't play for me. from what i have read, i can't say i am surprised.
...and yeah, what's with the former boy band members and tv stars all becoming red carpet hosts, etc? guess the economy really is THAT bad.
I'd comment but
it's not playing here either. I'm only see a black box.
I suspect folks are being just a little too sensitive.
That was painful...
Such a great attitude...
Sorry...
