"Daily Show" and "Colbert" take on Prop 8 and gay justicesThe Daily Show and The Colbert Report returned this week after some time off, and delved right into last week's California Supreme Court Prop 8 decision, as well as what the President's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor might mean for the future diversity of the SCOTUS. Above you can see Stephen Colbert's spurious fury at The Cali Supreme Court for upholding the 18,000 same-sex marriages in that state. His explanation of why "separate but equal" is nonsensical is classic. Jon Stewart and correspondent Aasif Mandvi take on the hysteria surrounding the new Supreme Court nominee, and why an openly gay nominee might be the next step. You can see that clip below, and let's rejoice that this one-two punch of comedic brilliance is back!
