The death knell sounds as NBC's "Kings" is moved to summer

It looks as though NBC has officially given up all hope on their gay Prince Jack and the rest of Kings.

The low-rated series suffered the indignity of being banished to Saturday nights, and now the network has officially pulled the show from the schedule, and will burn off the remaining episodes during the barren wasteland of summer:

Starting this Saturday, NBC will air reruns of Law & Order: SVU, freshman cop drama Southland and Law & Order. Kings will return to its Saturday slot June 13 and will finish its run through July 25.

This move is not really surprising considering the ratings, but it seems as though the network never really had much faith in the show, and were quick to pull the plug.

What do you Kings fans think? Hopefully they'll release a "The Complete Series" DVD after the show has run its course, and we'll see the potential it had, and lament that it was never realized.
