Is NBC's "Trauma" about to be resuscitated?

In the "never say die" category comes word that NBC's struggling Trauma, which had been canceled by the network, may be seeing faint signs of life.

DeadlineHollywood is reporting that NBC "has told the show this week the network not only will produce all 13 episodes from its current order but also order more".

We've reached out to the network for a comment but haven't heard back yet. We'll keep you posted!

If this is true, it great news for fans of the show and its gay paramedic Tyler.

Editor's UPDATE: I just heard from a source at NBC that the network has ordered three more episodes of the show which will be placed with the remaining three episodes and aired sometime in the new year. Beyond that, the network is remaining non-committal, but if nothing else, it means we don't have to perform last rites this very minute.

    Good news

I was prepared to be down to only One Life to Live on my viewing schedule, but if Trauma is saved, I'll have 2 shows I watch regularly!

    They read my email.......

Well my email and however many other emails sent by gay and straight viewers.  It's hard to find quality programming and when you do, you need to let the Network know!!!

Don't want to get my hopes up...

But I am really happy about this! When I first heard the show was being canceled, I considered just not watching it anymore, rather than get more attached to the characters. I decided to go ahead and keep watching it, but with every episode I keep reminding myself it's almost over. I am so glad NBC hanging onto it a bit longer. I really really hope they decide to finish out the season and pick the show up for next season.

    Great news!

I liked Tyler's coming out scene, and I'm glad they are giving the show a second chance.
