Under the Covers 2: Help us rename these strange, forgotten, or just plain creepy gay-themed films
Sure, working here in the AfterElton.com Blungeon™ (Blog + dungeon) is a never-ending parade of cute puppies and lollipops, but sometimes things get a bit hectic, and we need help from our faithful readers. We received a moldy cardboard box from upstairs full of obscure or forgotten gay-themed films, with orders to alphabetize them. Unfortunately, the titles on all the covers have been blacked out! This is where you come in. Every week we'll present the cover art for a gay-themed film and ask you to create a new title based just on the cover art. We'll pick our favorite, and announce the winner the next week (along with the real title of the film). Take a look at the cover art above and take your best shot. And below you can see the real title of last week's entry, as well as our favorite faux title.
There were over fifty title suggestions for this cover, so it was really impossible to pick one (and truthfully, all of them were great!) But here are our top three, in no particular order: The Chronicles of Nebraska :The Lyin', the Bitch and the Wardrobe Malfunction from Javi. The Curious Case of Benjamin Unbuttoned by Zaubear. Mine was going to be Circumcision: The First Cut Is The Deepest. The Plot: Uncircumcised models employed with a gay skin magazine in subscription decline start turning up clipped soon after arriving on a Polynesian island for a last hurrah photo shoot! Power porn couple David and Ken fight to stay unclipped and united while struggling to save the magazine they are invested in and escape this intolerable island.
My other two ideas are:
Siamese Terror (Tag Line: Togetherness Is Not Always Forever! The Plot: A set of faternal Siamese twins face the knife of separation and freedom... but one of them doesn't want to go.)
Connection (Tag Line: Sometimes A Date Never Leaves! Andy thought all was going well on his second date with Brian... until he woke up the next morning permanently attached.)
Docked (Tag Line: Men Arrive In Lust But Leave In Death. Bobby and Jared arrive on Paradise Island planning on celebrating their first vacation together since they started dating. But someone on the island has different plans. The only one leaving this dock will be in a body bag.)
