Women We'd Sleep With 1

Remember that episode of Friends where Ross creates a list of celebrities he’s allowed to sleep with if he ever runs into them in person? My partner and I, both big-time celebrity gawkers, were inspired by that episode to create our own lists. But to keep it totally non-threatening to our fragile egos, we limited it to women. That way we could both rest easy that if the other one ever actually ran into someone on his list, chances of his being able to seal the deal were substantially reduced than if he ran into, say, Rupert Everett.

For a while, Madonna topped my list, but now I just find her terrifying. Then, I realized that a number of women on my list were there not because I was attracted to them but because I wanted to be them.

But holding steady for 2 plus years now, the top of my list has been Rachel McAdams. I first fell for her when I saw Red Eye, in which she plays the world’s most calm and collected hotel manager ever. (I can't help but fall for anyone who can promise me a free room upgrade.) She’s gorgeous, classy, and comes across in interviews like a smart, decent actress who isn’t full of herself. Plus she’s Canadian.

Finding myself serious crushing on her, I set out to discover the entire McAdams oeuvre. Fortunately, she’s only been in a handful of movies, making her an easier object of obsession than some other actresses I wish we could see less of.

As a Mean Girl, I found her way more sympathetic than Lindsay Lohan. Then again, I also find Rosie O’Donnell more sympathetic than Lindsay Lohan. And I even sat through treacly dreck like The Notebook and The Family Stone (shudder) just for a glimpse of my favorite girl. Now comes news that finally, after 3 years MIA, her next film, Married Life, is in post-production, and she’s been cast in The Time Traveler’s Wife, based on the popular bestseller. And if rumors prove true that her romance with Ryan Gosling is on the fritz, I guess I finally have a serious chance with her.

After Rachel, the number 2 on my list is a recent addition. Here she is. Who makes yours?

I like Hayden Panettiere

I like Hayden Panettiere (Claire on Heroes) I don't know why, there's just something about her. She is really cute. Like Rachel too, she is a really good actress.

I guess my choices would be kinda mute because I'm bi. That is if of course, you're not telling us (or Brent) something, Michael ;).

Rachel is hot...but I've got a thing for Rebecca Romijn/Alex/Alexis from Ugly Betty. Ooo, the things i'd like to do to that he/she before and after the op! Lmao.

Charisma Carpenter for me.

Charisma Carpenter for me. She was my favourite on Buffy and Angel, and I loved (to hate) her on Veronica Mars too. I'm really surprised she hasn't become a bigger star since she's so beautiful and great at both drama and comedy. The world is missing out!

(tried to post a YouTube video - guess we can't do that eh?)

Cordelia and Veronica -- Excellent!

I love both Kristen Bell and Charisma C.  One of the reasons I'm so pissed that Joss isn't doing Wonder Woman is because I thought Charisma Carpenter would have been so great in the superpower wonderbra and gold bracelets.

Nice list, Andros.

We share a lot of taste in our womens, me thinks.

Meh to Alyssa Milano. Maybe in her early years. I haven't seen her recently, but in the latter seasons of Charmed she looked a trainwreck.

Yes, yes and yes to Famke Janssen. I adore her.

Katherine Heigl...similar to Alyssa Milano. I found her a lot more appealing back on Roswell than I do these days, but she's still gorgeous.

I'm not absolutely crazy about Jessica Biel, but since being with her would sort of be like being with Chris Evans...sort of...how could I say no?

No idea who Emmanuelle Vaugier is. :P

Hm. I guess I should be making my own list. Oh well, Andros' list was just so spot on for the most part. Throw in a little Rachel McAdams (I'll fight you both!) and Majandra Delfino and I'm all set. :3

Sorry for the obscene spacing,

and the double-comment. This applet hates me, I swear.

I should have have been more

I should have been more precise and say:

5- Alyssa Milano(around Charmed season 3 because I hated her short hair in the latter years)

4- Famke Janssen

3- Katherine Heigl (huge teenage crush during Roswell back then but she is more woman and less girl now which I prefer)

2- Jessica Biel(hotter in the middle years of 7th Heaven)

1- Emmanuelle Vaugier

ps: It feels so wrong posting these on AfterElton lol

Know this is late,

...and you probably won't see it, but oh well. I still have no idea who Emmanuelle Vaugier is, even though she looks familiar, but she IS rather gorgeous I have to admit! And oh my god you watched Roswell? Nobody watched Roswell. I'm like the only person in my State who even knows what it is or something, I swear. This is great. This site is awesome. I've met (sort of?) someone who watched Roswell AND is gay? Be still my heart. *calms down* ...of course I'm assuming you even liked it. I bet you hated it. WHY DO I GET MY HOPES UP LIKE THIS?

Roswell addicts anonymous

I totally watched Roswell, right through the bitter end.  For me, Lost's Emilie de Ravin will always be that b*tch of an Alien who stole away Jason Behr from nice Shiri Appleby. (and wasn't she pregnant on Roswell too?) I'm just a sucker for any TV show about high school with pretty actors.
ExLenne's picture

They're coming out of the woodwork!

I actually preferred Tess to Liz. I know I was in the minority, but I did. I'd go hetero for Emilie de Ravin. And yeah, she was pregnant when she left the show at the end of season 2. (Though I didn't realize she was pregnant in Lost - don't watch it)

Shiri Appleby looked a hot mess in Havoc.

If you love Rachel

Check out the first series of Slings and Arrows... She plays a young actress playing Ophelia. It's brilliant.

Been Meaning to Check That Out

I've been wanting to see Slings and Arrows.  Sounds totally up my alley -- theater stuff AND Rachel = awesome!  I've heard it's great but just haven't had time to check it out yet.  Sounds like it will be good summer viewing when so much else is in reruns.

It's really good.

She's only in the first series, but the whole thing is brilliant. Now I want to see her actually play Ophelia!

slings & arrows be WARNED

is an acquired taste. I just viewed the whole series on DVD which I borrowed from a friend and have to tell ya...I thought it was so BORING and I didn't like any of the characters. Not my cup of tea. It seems most people feel like I do or rather - people either love it or hate it. McAdams was sweet though.

well

Lemme see...

Stacy London, Paige Davis,  Linda Evangelista, Salma Hayek, and Linda Hunt (but only if she purred "I am the Shadout Mapes--the houssssekeeper" repeatedly into my ear)

Katharine McPhee

Owns all of these bitches. But Rachel McAdams would be number two.
