AfterElton Briefs: Stripping a Superhero, Prop 8 News, Starz Brings us "Camelot," a Gay Couple's Moving Story, and More!

Happy 51st Birthday to queer (that's the word he uses to describe himself) singer Michael Stipe. I couldn't decide whether to use cherub Michael or gnome Michael, so I used both.

  • Entertainment Weekly has a handy schedule of when all of the broadcast network midseason shows will debut. I'm especially looking forward to something on The CW titled Shedding for the Wedding, which I'm hoping is a reality show about Mega-Python's nuptials.
  • The new series Camelot debuts on Starz in April, and as you can see from the behind-the-scenes look below, they're definitely going for a grittier version than we've seen before. But will they do ... routines and chorus scenes with footwork impeccable?

  • One-trick pony actor R. Lee Ermey is apologizing for using a Toys for Tots charity event to tell Americans to "rise up" against President Obama

  • If you're confused about what today's Prop 8 news means, Towleroad has an in-depth explanation. Some people are saying it's an ominous development, while others say don't worry, it's procedure. What do you think?
  • Last night was the Provincetown episode of Tabatha's Salon Takeover, and below you can see legendary drag queen Varla Jean Merman lend a helping hand.

  • Speaking of reality shows, if they made a show based on this tweet, it would be an instant classic. C'mon, if they created a show based on some guy's foul-mouthed dad's tweets, certainly they can do this.

  • We can't post it here because of language and nudieness, but the red band trailer for No Strings Attached is out, and features lots of raunchy talk, a reference to a character's gay dads (which can't be repeated here), and Ashton Kutcher's naked ass (which I think looks great, but a lot of the commenters are not happy about). It also has former Chelsea Lately "Staff Homosexual" Guy Branum, who takes particular interest in Ashton's posterior.
  • Here's a fun and hot little time-waster. When you go the Diesel website and click on a superhero, you can "activate" his (or her) power and his clothes will fall off, leaving him in Diesel underwear. BTW, Ed found this link. I don't want to know how.

This one is my favorite. Not sure about his tag line, though.
