AfterElton Briefs: Puck Buddys, Another "Glee" Crossover, "I Wanna Shoot Lady Gaga," a First Look at the New Spidey, and More!

  • The BBC has released new character portraits from the real Being Human. I mean ... the original Being Human.
  • Yesterday was the thirtieth anniversary of one of the most influential moments in pop culture history. On January 12th, 1981 ... Dynasty debuted on ABC. Now comes word that the show's creator Richard Shapiro is shopping a big-screen Dynasty prequel, which will take place in the 60's, not the 80's. Um ... what's the point? Besides, I've had it with remakes. Especially when there's no way they can ever do justice to this:

  • The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has ruled that the 1985 Dire Straits song "Money For Nothing" cannot be played in Canada unless the word faggot is edited out. Personally I've never much cared for the song, (I much prefer "Sultans of Swing"), but in the context of the lyrics (it's the point of view of an ignorant delivery guy making custom kitchen deliveries), it doesn't have the same hateful impact that say, Eminem has when he uses that word.

  • Some nobody begging for 15 minutes has released a song titled "I Wanna Shoot Lady Gaga", but it's only meant "metaphorically." She just hates everything Gaga stands for, and thinks she's just using the gay community. BTW, the song is just another atrocious Autotune piece of crap.
  • Below you can see "Drag Ya Later"s Jon and John interview RuPaul's Drag Race Season Three judge Michelle Visage. I so can't wait to see Ru and Michelle back together (Michelle played Ed McMahon on Ru's VH-1 talk show). Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers Michelle's 80's girl group Seduction?

  • Ryan Murphy is set to executive produce the Oxygen reality competition series The Glee Project, whose prize is a seven-episode guest starring role on the next season of Ice Road Truckers ... I mean Glee.
  • Bravo has picked up new seasons of The Rachel Zoe Project , Flipping Out, Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, The Millionaire Matchmaker and are casting for another season of Top Chef.
  • Below you can see the first look at Andrew Garfield as the new big-screen Spider-Man. I think he's perfectly nerdy-hot. What say you?

  • Finally, and don't roll your eyes, you knew I had to include this ... Stevie Nicks appeared on Ellen today to announce that she's going on tour with Rod Stewart (as her opening act, presumably). And my 80's meter has now reached critical.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
