AfterElton Briefs: More "Torchwood" Casting, "Fairly Legal"s Gay Character, Ron Howard Attempts to Explain That Joke, and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner (because anything combining Lady Gaga and Modern Family deserves it) is ...

"So, i looked that coyote dead in the eye, and i let him know -- without saying a word -- I will not harm you, but I'm the alpha, here."

Thanks to deegeezee for this week's winning caption.

  • Ten years after they made history, two same-sex couples married in Toronto are about to renew their vows.
  • Raising Hope lobbied for a Golden Globe nom with this profanity-laden video plea. I love the show, so I'll overlook the uncalled for Ugly Betty diss.
  • Below you can see the latest episode of "Where The Frock Are They Now?," as Adam Abernathy tracks down Rupaul's Drag Race Season Two contestant Mystique.

  • In shocking news, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has been postponed again, this time until March. At this rate, the movie reboot may be out before the Broadway show.
  • Below you can see Ron Howard on yesterday's The View explaining why he didn't have a problem with the "electric cars are gay" line in The Dilemma. Basically, it boils down to "well, everyone uses 'gay' like that."

He loves rock and roll, so put another dime in the jukebox, baby.

  • Gay Nerds has an interview with gay Marvel Comics editor Daniel Ketchum. He discusses what superhero he'd like to date, and his dream project, which would be editing a mini-series titled Storm: She Beats Bitches Up With Weather.
  • The new show Fairly Legal debuts next Thursday, but we covered it back in August when it was called Facing Kate. In case you don't recall that post, it 's the rare USA Network show to feature a gay character.. Actor Ethan Embry plays the gay brother of lead character Kate (who's some sort of sexy mediator or something), and he'll appear in five of the first twelve episodes.

  • Finally, here's the first promo pic of Richard Hatch from the upcoming edition of Celebrity Apprentice.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
