AfterElton Briefs: "Elton: The Movie," Zombies Invade TV, Ricky Martin's New 'Do, Happy Birthday Adam, and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner (because anyone referencing Falco automatically scores extra points) is ...

"Tonight, you are going to rock me Amadeus."

Thanks to joeyhegele for this week's winning caption.

Happy Birthday to Adam Lambert, who turns 29 this weekend!

  • Below you can see a sneak peek at next Monday's RuPaul's Drag Race, as some of the ladies get annoyed by Mimi's attempt to steal the spotlight during rehearsal.

  • The idea that TV cannibalizes itself has taken on a whole new dimension. The success of AMC's The Walking Dead has led to more zombie-munching fun on other networks, with The CW developing The Awakening, which will no doubt feature young, hot zombies dealing with eating disorders. As in ... they're eating each other. This is in addition to NBC developing ... oh dear ... oh jeez ... Zombies vs. Vampires. Zombie is my favorite genre of horror, but I don't have high hopes for either of these projects.
  • The Spoiler Room has info about True Blood, Being Human and Brothers & Sisters, including this tidbit: "Also in the cards? A returning face during Luc and Sarah’s wedding who will contribute to a mishap of Titanic proportions."
  • Below you can see Elton John talk to BBC Radio about what life is like since becoming a dad, and he explains the baby-naming process.

  • Elton also talked about the biopic that's being planned about his life, with a screenplay from the writer of Billy Elliot. Elton says the film will have a Moulin Rouge feel to it.
  • Lea Michele will perform "America the Beautiful" at this year's Super Bowl, joining Xtina, who will perform the National Anthem, and half-time entertainment Autotune Shriek Machine.
  • Do you vote yay or nay on Ricky Martin's new 'do? I think he's hot no matter what, but it does sort of look like he combed egg yolks through his hair.
  • Below you can see Ellen cajole and intimidate poor Alex Pettyfer into taking his shirt off. How pushy!

  • Finally, I extend an invitation to join me Saturday night at 9 PM EST on our Facebook page when I liveblog the Syfy instant classic Mega Python vs, Gatoroid. Here's one more sneak peek of the awesomeness.
