Taylor Dayne at the "Barks & Botox" Fundraiser To Benefit The Animal Advocates Alliance in Beverly Hills

  • I'm From Driftwood has just wrapped up its 50-state Story Tour, hosting readings of their new book and collecting true GLBT stories, from small towns to the biggest cities across America.
  • Below you can see achingly gorgeous Matt Bomer on The Jimmy Kimmel Show talking about one very famous fan of his USA show Smooth Criminal Likes to Wear Fedoras. That might not actually be the name of the show, but every time I see a promo, he's wearing a fedora.

  • In ratings news, Syfy hast started off the year in good form, with big ratings for Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, Being Human and Face Off, while Showtime's first four episodes of Shameless have also scored with viewers.
  • ABC has ordered a new pilot from out Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Hallelujah is about a Tennessee town that finds itself being torn apart by forces of good and evil.
  • ABC is also ordering a pilot from out producer Darren Star called Good Christian Bitches, a soap opera set in Dallas.
  • So ... anyone want to take him up on his offer? And in the header I said he needed some TLS. AKA Tender Loving Snicks.

  • A feature film version of Stephen King's million page classic The Stand is coming. It was previously an eight-hour miniseries on ABC back in the 90's that Syfy now runs every other Sunday. The only thing I really remember about it is that the guy who played the mentally challenged guy now voices Patrick on Spongebob.
  • Hispanically Speaking News has a report on Mexican brewery “Minerva” and its new beer products exclusively targeted to the GLBT community. Guess what? The beer has sold out.
  • Don't worry about it, Rachel. Yes, you got suckered in by ChristWire, not knowing it was satire, but at least you can keep your sense of humor about it.

  • Finally, below you can see Top Chef: Just Desserts winner Yigit Pura make a surprise appearance with some treats for one of those Housewives on Watch What Happens Live. Yigit needs his own show. I miss him.
