AfterElton Briefs: "Smash" Ratings, The Official "Amazing Spider-Man" Trailer, and Ryan Murphy on "Watch What Happens Live"

  • Happy Birthday to Ashton Kutcher (above), who turns 34, Eddie Izzard is 50, Chris Rock is 47, and Garth Brooks is 50. I don't know enough Garth songs for a list, but feel free to post your faves! And maybe someday Garth will break down and confess where the mummified corpse of Chris Gaines is! (You win today's pop culture prize if you get that reference).
  • In ratings news, last night's The Voice was NBC’s highest-rated regular non-sports telecast on any night in more than four years. Smash was the third-highest-rated new drama series premiere this season, and quadrupled NBC's season average ratings in its time slot. • Below you can see the new trailer for The Amazing Spiderman. I thought there was supposed to be singing?

  • Ryan Murphy was on Watch What Happens Live last night and stayed mum about what's going to happen on Glee, but dropped some hints about Season Two of American Horror Story.
  • TV Line has video of tomorrow night's Valenti's Day episode of Happy Endings
  • Just Jared has pics of Zachary Quinto and Jonathan Groff hanging out together. Not fair.

  • Coming soon! I want to see a Jackie freak-out.

  • Below you can see a faboo character from a famous TV show. Can you name it?
