AfterElton Briefs: "Das Beer Boot," The Non-Nudie "Playgirl," Pink Is The Good Girl, and More!

Jensen Ackles turns 33 today, so I have a legitimate reason to post this pic again.

  • Playgirl is set to launch a UK version of the "women's" magazine, but without the nudity. Yeah, good luck with that. As I recall, they tried it years ago in the States, and it lasted about as long as it's taken me to write this sentence.
  • Irish artist Kevin Sharkey has made a career out of shock and controversy, and it continues with his latest piece, which depicts Elton John breast-feeding.

  • Ed disclosed the names of the new cast of Dancing With The Stars this morning, and now it's been revealed that out dancer Louis van Amstel has been paired with Kendra Wilkinson, who Wikipedia claims is Hugh Hefner's former girlfriend, a star of an E! reality show, and a sex tape performer. Spare a thought for our brother Louis.
  • Carsten Andersson is trying to become the latest adult film star to take a thrust at a pop music career. He's not a fan of Lady Gaga, though, saying, “Most things I see from her seem copied from artists of the past.” As opposed to his single "Fun," with such original lyrics as "fun, fun, fun," and "fun, fun, fun." And look, he can sing into a banana! I do the same thing ... but he's probably better at it.

  • This ad has been making the rounds today. They're selling the boot-shaped beer glass (in case you got distracted). I don't drink, but it would make a perfect Yoo-Hoo container.

  • United States of Tara premieres its new season this month, and below you can see the first look at Moosh (Keir Gilchrist). The hair is a little unkempt, which worries me.

  • Finally, out speedskater (and AE fav) Blake Skjellerup just tweeted his approval of our Mattie tribute. Thanks Blake!
