AfterElton Briefs: A Big DVD Week, "The Stoning of Sally Kern," the Video Maggie Gallagher Must See, and More!

Matthew Mitcham relaxes at the Mardi Gras VIP Party last night in Sydney, Australia.

  • DVD Watch: This week, both Oscar hosts hope to put the memory of that show behind them as James Franco's 127 Hours and Anne Hathaway's Love and Other Drugs (also starring Jake Gyllenhaal) are now available for your home viewing pleasure.
  • Speaking of gay favs, this week also marks the DVD debut of Burlesque, and Movieline spoke to out director Steve Antin about the Razzie nominations and the Best Original Song snub at the Oscars. Turns out he doesn't care much ... and remember much. Below you can see one of the blooper reels from the DVD.

  • Season one of The Walking Dead comes out on DVD next week (yeah!), and creator Robert Kirkman talks about the extra bells and whistles you can look forward to, as well as the plans for Season Two.
  • This video should be required viewing for all of the Maggie Gallaghers of the world (but of course they'd never watch it). Derence Kernek and Ed Watson have been together for 40 years, and would love to finally be able to get married, because Ed has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and they don't know how many more good days he's going to have.

  • Below you can hear the Vancouver Men's Chorus perform the Fred Small classic "Everything Possible" while telling their individual "It Gets Better" stories.

  • In what is sure to be the must-read of the season, our old pal Sally Kern is releasing her personal recollection of being "targeted" by the gay community for being a terrible person. The Stoning of Sally Kern is now listed on Amazon.com ... which may have been a mistake, judging by the tags people have left. Bwa-ha-ha!

  • Below you can see an sneak peek at Monday's RuPaul's Drag Race. The library is open, and the Queens read each other!
