Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner is ...

"Now that was a wedgie."

Thanks to dostka for this week's winning caption.

  • Happy Birthday to one of our greatest allies! The majestic Vanessa Williams turns 48 today. Other birthdays this weekend include Irene Cara (whose "Flashdance ... What A Feeling" has the honor of being #8 on the official Snicks' Top 100 of the 80's), who turns 52, and the B-52's Ricky Wilson, who would have turned 58 this weekend. I love hot tamales too, Ricky. R.I.P.
  • DVD Watch! This week sees the release of The Fighter, featuring the Oscar-winning performances of Christian Bale and Melissa Leo. Also out is the neglected Matt Damon movie Hereafter, directed by Clint Eastwood. The wonderful Isabelle Hupert is mesmerizing in Hidden Love, but I thought the movie fell apart.
  • All you zombies hide your faces! AMC's The Walking Dead Season One is finally out on DVD, and below you can see TPTB talk about the training that went into the undead choreography.

  • Here's the greatest three-minute ad for a video game I've ever seen. Can this cute guy out dance Kylie? Only if he locks her in the dressing room.

  • Those of us who still mourn the too-soon cancellation of Samantha Who?, there's good news and bad news. The good news is that Christina Applegate will be returning in a new NBC comedy next season. The bad news is it's produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels.
  • First Slash, then Kings of Leon, now the lead singer of something named Foo Fighters wants everyone to know that they are not interested in having their music on Glee. (Before you get up in arms, I know perfectly well who Foo Fighters, and their lead singer are.)
  • Below you can see Neil Tennant talk about the latest project for Pet Shop Boys, a ballet score called "The Most Incredible Thing" for London's Sadler's Wells Theater.

  • EW.com has the first look at the new costume for the Wonder Woman reboot. I can't be the only one who looked at this and thought, "a Kardashian on Halloween."

  • We've all seen footage of the tsunami destruction, but Rachel Maddow has video of an escape, followed by a rescue. Harrowing stuff.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
