AfterElton Briefs: Happy Birthday Celine, Kyle Dean Massey is a "Lucky Guy," Rebooting the "Wonder Woman" Costume, and More!

  • A very happy birthday to Celine Dion, who turns 43 today. I adore Celine, even though she basically stole the career of my 2nd all-time favorite singer Laura Branigan. Okay, time to name your top five Celine songs! Here are mine: 5. "Beauty and the Beast;" 4. "Where Does My Heart Beat Now;" 3. "My Heart Will Go On;" 2. "Nothing Broken But My Heart," and my favorite is the gloriously over-the-top Jim Steinman epic "It's All Coming Back To Me Now." But then, all Jim Steinman songs are gloriously over-the-top (see Bonnie Tyler, Meatloaf). Here's a refresher, with Celine pining for her hot, dead, cool rider.

  • The 2011 NewNowNext Awards airs on Logo (our parent company) at 10PM ET on Monday, April 11th, and they've just announced that the host will be ... James Van Der Beek! Because ... well, I don't know why, but there it is.
  • That much-celebrated U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services "hold" on denying Green Card applications for same-sex married couples ... is over. Well, it was nice while it lasted. All 48 hours of it.
  • Below you can see hot, talented, and out Kyle Dean Massey perform "Needle in a Haystack" with his Lucky Guy co-star Savannah Wise. Performances will begin on Thursday, April 28th and continue through Sunday, July 24th at the Little Shubert Theater in NYC.

  • Mike Rogers has decided to close BlogActive, where he's spent the last seven years exposing hypocritical politicians.
  • After much outrage, NBC has changed the Wonder Woman costume. Gone are the vinyl pants, and the boots are now red. What can I say that I haven't already said? I still firmly believe that if she showed up on the Drag Race catwalk in this, Santino's head would explode, and RuPaul would say, "My dear, we are in awe of the powers you possess, but your look ... stopped us cold. Now sashay ... and twirl, away."

  • Speaking of Drag Race, Socialite Life has pics of the dismissed Shangela along with "internet sensation" Chris Crocker, as they film scenes from the Don Johnson pilot It's a Mann's World. Gee, I wonder if either of them are Snip, Snap, or Snur.
  • Below you can see a couple of promos from Elton John's hosting appearance on this weekend's Saturday Night Live. I don't watch the show, so I'm going to have to rely on Ed to tell me how bad it is.

  • Finally, please tell me I'm not the only one obsessed with this Cheetos commercial. The song is "The Hit" by Richard Myhill, and the dancing construction guy with the wicked stache has me all hot and bothered.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
