AfterElton Briefs: Weird Al Vs. Lady Gaga, Reichen on "Dr. Phil," Reimagining Madonna's "True Blue" Album, and More!

A Very Happy Birthday to George Takei, who turns 74 today!
- So Weird Al did what Weird Al does, and he created a parody of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" titled "Perform This Way." It was going to be the lead track from his new album, but unfortunately Gaga didn't like the finished product, so Al has pulled it. People are accusing Gaga of being humorless and shortsighted (because all the proceeds would have gone to HRC), but maybe she just didn't like it. IMHO, it's not on par with Al classics such as "I Lost on Jeopardy" and "Nature Trail to Hell."
- Speaking of Gaga, her HBO concert at Madison Square Garden will debut Saturday, May 7th at 9 PM EST.
- DVR ALERT! Reichen and Rodiney will appear on The Dr. Phil Show tomorrow: "Reichen became a household name when he appeared on The Amazing Race, and Rodiney an Internet sensation doing the "happy dance" around the globe, but as they settle into domestic bliss, the two say they fight like every other couple." Also on the show is Davy Jones from The Monkees, because ... why not?
- Today, a grand jury indicted Dharun Ravi on 15 charges, including bias intimidation, invasion of privacy, witness tampering and tampering with evidence in the Tyler Clementi tragedy.
- The first films aren't even out yet, and Thor and Captain America are getting sequels. They could follow the recurring dream I've been having and pit Chris Hemsworth against Chris Evans. They'd save a lot on the costume budget.
- Unlike Boy Culture, I believe True Blue was Madonna's greatest album (and contained her greatest song, "Live to Tell"), and now a free digital covers tribute is being released. I've never heard of any of the young artists involved, but The Rural Alberta Advantage's cover of "Live To Tell" is ... well ... bless their hearts!

- Christian Louboutin and Gareth Thomas discuss how they became sole mates (Hey, that's their pun, not mine. I would never stoop so low).
- SpoilerBOMB! Inside TV has the scoop on the final Glee episodes of the season.
- Via Towleroad comes this PSA just released from the L.A. Lakers about "hurtful words," with Kobe Bryant mentioning sexual orientation. It closes with the basketball team saying, "We're All In This Together." I looked, but didn't see Zac Efron anywhere.
