AfterElton Briefs: Gay Animated Gladiators, Gaga on "Ellen," Time to Prepare for the Hot 100, and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner is ...

"Backstage at the White House Easter Egg hunt has gotten a lot more interesting since they hired a gay event planner."

Thanks to Chronomaxx for this week's winning caption.

  • Weekend Birthdays! Kate Mulgrew turns 56, Cloris Leachman is 85, and the soon-to-be Patsy again Joanna Lumley is 65.
  • Here's the most interesting tidbit about the Royal Wedding today. As soon as Kate Middleton's brother James spoke at the wedding, hundreds of people asked on Twitter and other social media networks if he is gay. "An increase in searches on Google for the term 'James Middleton gay' has led to the search engine auto-suggesting the term 'James Middleton gay' when a user begins to type his name."
  • The Spoiler Room has info about Teddy's relationship with Marco on 90210 and a shocking possibility concerning Modern Family.
  • From Towleroad comes this animated video ad for 2011 Europride Roma, which apparently has some Italian conservatives up in arms.

  • Here's something special that I'm proud to plug. AE reader rebelgurley works for Safe Horizon Streetwork Project, a 27 year old organization that works with runaway and homeless youth in NYC (it's one of the oldest and largest youth organizations in the country to have always been explicitly LGBTQ welcoming). It's one of five orgs that Lady Gaga and the Robin Hood Foundation have chosen to possibly receive part of a million dollars to aid their cause. But they need votes to make it happen. When you get a chance, head over to the Facebook page and click your vote. Oh, and check out their awesome version of "Born This Way!"
  • Speaking of Gaga, in case you missed her performance of "Judas" yesterday on Ellen, you can see it below.

  • Below you can see the latest webisode of Then We Got Help, which involves a drinking game. That's probably not a good idea at group therapy. (NSFW - language)

  • Finally, next week we will present the 2011 AfterElton.com Hot 100, so start preparing your top ten selections now! In fact, if you want to give us a sneak peek now, have it! I'll start. Here's a piece of my #3 guy on the list. Can you guess who it is?

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
