AfterElton Briefs: "Glee Live! 3D!," "Project Runway All Stars," Happy Birthday Lance Bass, and More!

  • Happy 32nd Birthday to Lance Bass! And Happy 57th Birthday to 80's icon Pia Zadora. In addition to her classic films, she's also my favorite music video artist of the 80's. "Little Bit of Heaven" is the 2nd greatest music video of the decade, and if you've never experienced it, you can check it out here. You'll thank me for it.

  • John Barrowman on British Prime Minister David Cameron's support for a ban on showing same-sex kissing during "pre-watershed" hours: ""I'm shocked. I don't have all the information, but if it's true and it's going to happen, I think it's ridiculous. If we can see a man and a woman kiss [in the earlier hours], we should be able to see two men kiss or two women kiss. It's a sign of affection and love. There's nothing dirty about it. It's perfectly natural, perfectly normal. To do this suggests that it's bad, that's it's wrong. And there is nothing about me and my life that is wrong."
  • Below you can see highlights of Ricky Martin's interview with Jay Leno (who manages not to say anything cringeworthy).

  • The AFA's mouthpiece Bryan Fischer has responded to GLAAD's Call to Action about that Houston "gays are product placement" interview with a bunch of drivel, and now GLAAD has responded to the response: “It’s many anti-gay activists who can’t handle the truth that more and more Americans are supporting their LGBT friends, family, neighbors and co-workers,” said GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios. “The first amendment doesn't protect from being criticized for bad journalism nor does it guarantee a platform for representing inaccurate and extremist views in the media.”
  • Lifetime has announced that Project Runway All Stars will be coming to the network, and will consist of eight one-hour episodes featuring previous contestants. No word on who will be returning, but odds are ... pretty good ... there will be a "Team Gay."
  • Below you can see Broadway Beat talk to some of the stars of The Normal Heart, which just received five Tony nominations. Among those interviewed are Lee Pace, Jim Parsons, and Luke Macfarlane.

  • Finally, just a reminder that voting is now open for the 2011 AfterElton.com Hot 100, and the voting is open to everyone this year! So cast your ballots for your top ten guys!
