AfterElton Briefs: AIDS: 30 Years Later, "Kaboom" Explodes on DVD, Ricky Martin is Super, Man ... and More!

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! The winner is ...

"Mr and Mrs President, I present you a pair of Lumiere from Beauty and The Beast!"

Thanks to bambino italiano for this week's winning caption.

Happy Birthday to out actor Chad Allen, who turns 37 this weekend!

  • Weekend Birthdays! (Note: Birthday shoutouts are for out entertainers, allies, or for any celeb that seems to have a following on AE). Anderson Cooper turns 44, Angelina Jolie is 36, Rafael Nadal is 25, and Suze Orman is 60.
  • New DVD releases! Biutiful, with Javier Bardem's Oscar-nominated performance, Drive Angry, with Nicolas Cage's certain-to-be Razzie nominated performance, and Thomas Dekker in Gregg Araki's Kaboom, which is reminiscent of Gregg's early films.

  • An interesting new study has found that a "vast majority of countries around the world have become more accepting of homosexuality, with the exception of Russia and other former socialist countries."
  • Out singer/actor Josh Strickland was the original Tarzan in Disney's Tarzan the Broadway Musical and stars with Holly Madison in her E! reality series Holly's World. He's also about to release his first EP, and below you can hear the second single, "Last Dance."

  • Below you can see some safe-sex activists read some of the complaints that were received about that condom bus stop ad in Australia. It's funny and sad ... because it's real. But now I want a taco, for some reason.

  • Below you can see RuPaul's Drag Race queen Sahara Davenport answer the question, "Where the frock are they now?"

  • Proving there is some justice in the world, tinfoil hatter Glenn Beck will end his Fox show on June 30th, and Paris Hilton"s new reality show is a flop.
  • Below you can see a preview of Rocco's Dinner Party, which debuts Wednesday, June 15th at 10 PM EST. In this episode he and his guests (including Bryan Batt) chow down on ox tail

  • Ricky Martin recently visited Mexico City and wore the greatest ensemble in the history of everything. And I wear those exact same jeans at least twice a week. Well, I don't wear them exactly the same way he does ... but it's close!

  • Finally, June 5th marks 30 years since the first diagnosed case of AIDS, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta will present a special report on the anniversary on Saturday at 7:30 AM EST on CNN. He'll interview Cleve Jones in San Francisco, and spend time at Atlanta’s Ponce De Leon Clinic where he'll meet patients - and those who care for them. Below you can see him interview lovably batcrap crazy actress Sharon Stone about her AIDS activism.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
