AfterElton Briefs: Loco Ninja, Ann Coulter is Speechless, Rainbow Sushi, The Gay Opera-Singing Rugby Player, and More!

Gavin Creel performs at the League of Broadway Super Friends benefit concert. Wait a minute! "Broadway Super Friends?" I.Am.So.There!

  • Happy 60th Birthday to Bonnie Tyler! Bonnie only hit the top forty in the U.S. a few times, which is a shame, since her voice is full of character and strength. Fun fact: When Bonnie's 1986 single "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" flopped on the Billboard Hot 100, songwriter Desmond Child re-worked it and turned it into Bon Jovi's mega-hit "You Give Love a Bad Name."
  • Okay, name your Bonnie top five! Here are mine: 5. "It's a Heartache," 4. "Here She Comes," 3. "Holding Out For a Hero," 2. "Loving You's A Dirty Job (But Somebody's Got To Do It)," and #1. Gee, can you guess? Anyway, below you can see Bonnie perform that certain song with French singer Kareen Antonn, along with some General Foods International Coffee to celebrate this moment in their lives.

  • The documentary Out In America debuts tonight on PBS, and NYC rapper Loco Ninja will be one of the people profiled. Queer Corner has an interview with Mr. Ninja about his new mixtape, growing up gay in Spanish Harlem, and how an appearance on The Tyra Banks Show changed his life.

  • Below you can see Episode Two of Season Two of web series The Variants. Gay comic shop owner Richard is about to be released from jail, and his friends hold a surprise party for the hot ginger, ending with a shirtless speech on a pool slide.

  • Via JMG comes this clip of former Mr. Gay South Africa finalist and rugby player Jacques Snyman, who will be bringing his operatic talents to the U.S. this summer for a series of anti-bullying concerts.

Piers Morgan asked Ann Coulter how she would feel if she had a kid who was gay, and poor Ann fumbles and stumbles and can't even fake an answer.

And in a sheer coincidence that has nothing to do with the above clip, here's a promo pic that AMC just released from Season Two of The Walking Dead

  • Via Towleroad comes out actor Chad Allen's "I'm From Driftwood" video story. He talks about the difficulties his father had when Chad came out, and what eventually brought them together.

Finally, I'll see Ed's rainbow cupcakes from this morning, and raise him ... Rainbow Sushi!

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
