AfterElton Briefs: Eric Sheffer Stevens Gives us Hope, "Glee" Gives us "Faith," Bryan Fuller Gives Us SyFy, and More!

Plus two guys try to break the world kissing record, Steven and Chris are bringing it south, and Ride The Chute!

  • Spurf is reporting that out Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is moving to SyFy for his next project, an adaptation of the novel The Lotus Caves. I've never read the book, but from what I gather it was written forty years ago and is about two teenage boys exploring the moon. I assume they run afoul of some deadly lotus flowers or something. • Nelson Branco has a great interview with Eric Sheffer Stevens about the end of As The World Turns and how his Reid character captured people's hearts in just a few short months. Eric also dangles this choice cut: "I think because Reid and Luke know each other very well and they’ve embarked on this beautiful journey together, their first time will be very meaningful." So does this mean, despite all of our doubts, LuRe actually, possibly, might hit the sheets?

Steven and Chris are also an off-screen couple, so this upcoming season of afternoon TV is going to be chock full of the gay! We've got these guys, Sara Gilbert, Ellen, Nate Berkus, and soon Rosie O'Donell again. (h/t to Cathy.In.Canada).
  • Finally, I mentioned Steven Slater up top, and leave it to Stephen Colbert to put things in perspective. He's just named Steven the "Alpha Dog of The Week."

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
