AfterElton Briefs: Chrolli Fans Unite!, The "Queens of Drag," Honoring Eric Sheffer Stevens, and More!

Plus Kylie's unbearable scandal, vampires really do suck (or at least the movie does), and should SAG honor Brokeback hater Ernest Borgnine?

Here's last week's caption pic winner. This week's caption pic is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for participating! And the winner is ...

"Note to self: Pikachu is not as friendly as he looks"

Thanks to Dalton for this week's winning caption.

Weekend Birthdays! Gay- fave Kim Catrall turns 54, and fellow gay-fave Tori Amos turns 47

  • Mariah Carey is the latest name bandied about for the next American idol judge. How tiresome. They've already got Steven Tyler, so why not the female equivalent? A woman who's been around the music scene forever and can give these kids advice on surviving the highs and lows of the business. A woman with a ... wild heart. But who?
  • Tom O'Neill has stirred up a hornet's nest by asking the question Should SAG be honoring Ernest Borgnine? If you recall, Ernest was one of the Oscar voters quite vocal of his distaste for Brokeback Mountain.
  • Below you can meet the living legends of the upcoming web series Queens of Drag NYC. BTW, Acid Betty rules! (also, despite the time on the vid, it's actually 45 seconds long)

I just wrote an item on him, so this pic of Trevor is not gratuitous. Don't question me!

  • Film critic Michael Ordona is easily amused. Very easily amused. So far he's the only critic to give the excruciatingly horrible looking Vampires Suck a positive review. Well, until Armond White chimes in.
  • Modern Family creator Steven Levitan unsuccessfully lobbied ABC to remove full episodes of the series from the ABC site, saying the show could be an even bigger hit if people could only watch it on TV. Now he's going after HULU for the same reason. It's his decision, and his reasoning is sound, but he needs to remember that a lot of people became enamored of the show not from watching it on TV, but on sites like ours, that would post the episodes the next day.
And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Here's your caption pic for the week. Drop your caption ideas in the comments (And please remember to keep the captions PG-13!)
