• October marks the 5th Anniversary of GLBT History Month, and Equality Forum has commemorative resources, including lists of the 155 Icons from 2006 to 2010 and a special edition 5th Anniversary poster.

• Outfest will honor out filmmaker Roland Emmerich with their Visionary Award at their annual Legacy Awards on Thursday, October 21. Afterward Roland will film the destruction of the theater for his next movie, Blowing Sh*t Up.

• Now it gives me great pleasure to introduce a new regular feature in the briefs. With all of the asshattery, jackassery, and batcrappery going on in the world, sometimes it's difficult to separate the ordinary crazy from the extraordinary crazy. • Speaking of nutjobs, Glen Beck is worried that the upcoming Stewart/Colbert rallies are a "progressive plot." Seriously.

• Adam Lambert stopped by a Miami radio station on Sunday to explain why he attacked that paparazzi.

• Speaking of Adam, the furor over The Daily 10 host Michael Catherwood's prison joke may have died down a bit (even with his ridiculous attempt at an apology), but his E! colleague Sal Masekela didn't help matters by tweeting to Michael "Thanks for putting us on the map. Imagine if you said something truly offensive." Now Sal has revealed that it's a moot point in continuing to call for Michael's firing.

• Of course, this was likely in the works before the controversy, but there's something to be said for Karma.

• Ireland President Mary McAleese has turned down an offer to be the Grand Marshal of next year's NYC St. Patrick Day's Parade, and the rumor is that it's because of the parade's ban on gays.

• The set list for the Glee tribute to Rocky Horror has been released. We'll be hearing:

• Still no word on who will be playing which role, but original Rocky castmembers Meatloaf and Barry Bostwick are confirmed to make appearances, and Susan Sarandon has expressed interest as well.

• Finally, Warehouse 13 had its season finale last night, and star Eddie McClintock tweeted this to me us:
